AP Fact check is spreading fake news because it omits a critical name of NSC Admiral Timothy Zeimer. He was leading the charge of pandemic response team.

Also NSC is a body above everything. It controls the Pentagon, CIA, DHS, FBI etc. And it also controls CDC regarding issue of Pandemics & Bio-terrorism etc. So basically the NSC officer in charge of Pandemic response leads the CDC in time of crisis. That officer is gone from NSC.

Well if there is someone in charge of the team now that's the main thing. Do you really believe his responsibilities were not given to someone else?

Lots of news sites are posting stuff like this and people believe it. Stuff like this will just cause panic IMO.

You talk about fake news. Just look at the attitude of Trump. He says that US has thousands of Deaths from flu every year and implies that Coronavirus is not a big deal (south Carolina rally). Looks like Trump is the one who is peddling fake news.
 
By the way, today i went to market to buy Sanitizers. Couldn't find any in local shops (found some useless old stock 2 years old nearing expiry). So Hand Sanitizers are gone from markets here in India even when we have not had a major outbreak. N95 masks are also unavailable.

All governments and the WHO are doing the same thing IMO, playing it down. When I say "fake news" I am not referring to an individuals talking BS, that happens every day everywhere. I am talking the about media reporting.

And same here in Ireland, every pharmacist is out of masks for like 6 weeks. They cant get them.
 
In India, i think stock of Masks is procured by the Govt for emergency. Chemist told me no new stock of masks is coming (comes mostly from China).
 
Its getting close here too, schools closed nearby.

Not sure if its true but Apple say they are reopening factories in China, so maybe PS5 wont be delayed. idk, apple might just be forcing sick people to work or something. Wouldn't trust em anyway..probably just trying to influence their stock price.

I think the COVID-19 is going to stay forever, eventually there will be vaccines and will be given to the groups of population more prone to it (in the same way is made with other vaccines)

A lot of this news about reopening of factories is PR management. They don't want to tell the true scale of their supply chain disruption because bad news will crash their stock prices. Real state of factories shutdown is reflected in manufacturing index of China which is in massive contraction.

Biggest problem will in electronics like PS5 which has many different components that comes from many different factories in China & are assembled at some factory. The supply chain disruption is huge.

Only thing that can solve the problem is a vaccine that can cure people & stop the infection. Otherwise disruption will continue.

No doubt about that. Swine flu infected hundreds of Millions of people and eventually world came to accept that it cannot be contained. Fortunately, Swine flu is not really deadly & they also prepared vaccines & medicines. Now Coronavirus is much more deadly so we need to have vaccines & drugs much faster in markets. I heard that 19 anti Coronavirus drugs are in testing & trial phases. Hopefully they will have positive outcome & soon hit the markets.

Vaccines won't be available for a long while. Think 10 months. Im sure i read somewhere that there was one vaccine ready for human testing. But that takes a long time.

I've only ever had flu twice in my life. First time I'm sure was swine flu. Never felt so ill until that point in my life... May have been about 10ish years ago... And the second time I had flu was only last October. I'm hoping if I catch it, my immune system should be able to cope.
 
You will get your medicines under NHS for free. The problem is for poor and backward countries where there is no NHS.

The only way to prevent the infection is by getting infected (by a weakened version of the same virus), so one way or the other we are going to be infected :rolleyes:
 
Apple wont reopen and cant reopen factories in China because if they do they are going to lose a lot of money and probably a lot of employees will get sick with the virus not that they care much about their customers or employees but apple cares about themselves.

1. As far as know it's not disputed that China have been working on bat coronavirus for years...A quick google will prove that.

2. As far as I know the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory that is just 280 meters from the food market where it first appeared, is the ONLY P4 lab in China that's able to deal with viruses like this.

So if 1 is true and 2 is true, that means they just happened to be working on bat coronavirus 280 meters away from where it started by pure chance....hell of a coincidence and if I ask the bookies for odds they might think there is some link. :) Also lots of residents have said they never saw bats for sale on that market.

Of course we do not even know for sure that it came from bats yet, but its suspicious anyway. :)


Edit: The distance to the lab might be 280M, or 12KM or 18KM according to google maps..not sure which building is which though. There are like 3 labs in that area afaik.
