1. delete any installed Netflix apps using the XMB remove option.
2. manually delete the Netflix EU & US cache folders in /dev_hdd0/game.
3. reboot

My steps to get it to work logout of old one first then do what he stated above then log back in with new NoPSN version
If this still will not work maybe something wrong in your setup of Network

just out of curiosity, what is your firmware version and kernel setup?

all of these have been tested (for me personally) on Rebug 4.81.2 DEX with normal NP environment

EDIT #1:

I have posted links for original Hulu-v1.54-[NPUP00046].pkg and Hulu-v1.54-[NPUP00046]-Decompressed.pkg decompressed versions for Hulu v1.54. The PARAM.SFO can be modified to be 01.56 to bypass update nag.

The decompressed version is an "easier" attack target, as all of its resources are extracted, including SDAT, SPRX, CONF, etc. The extraction on this version happens on the PS3 console itself, at first launch login. I have taken the extracted files and re-packaged them as-is. If anyone wants to try some NoPSN bypasses, :wink: :wink: this version is a better start, I think. The file "LithiumNetworkPlatform.sprx" may also be suspect in this version.

I am also posting a v1.56 *spoofed* JS Beautified version of the package, Hulu-v1.54-v1.56-Spoofed-[NPUP00046]-Decompressed-JSB.pkg for anyone who wants to save a few steps. It basically just cleans up all the javascript code from the "hcube_0*.js.sdat" files into a human-readable format. The app does not seem to mind the difference and loads normally. The app also loads this JSON file (i assume dynamically every time) from this URL here: https://ps3-client.app.hulu.com/cube.../manifest.json. This has *cube hashes and js filenames.

I am continuing to work on a NoPSN bypass either using the v1.54 or the v1.56 versions, whichever I can break first

Are you getting an error? If your BluRay drive has problems such as not being detected, that will cause apps to not load. The easiest fix is using a NoBD PUP to reinstall firmware. I would first, if on Rebug and on DEX, is change kernel back to CEX, turn off Webman, Cobra, reboot and reinstall Rebug 4.81.2 REX PUP. Turn Webman and Cobra back on, switch back to DEX and reboot. See if it works.

Also make sure any firmware spoofers are disabled, shouldn't need them anyways now, Rebug 4.81.2 is the best CFW, or at least the best base CFW to further modify.

One last thing you could try is rebuilding Database files or Restore System Files.

TA worked. strange since it uses pkg view to extract. normal pkg view was erroring for me. I checked rebug toolbox, the pkg, and it extracted just fine, so I dunno what's going on.

most certainly! I usually try and build NoADS versions after NoPSN has been patched. I will look into it soon for YouTube. May be tricky!

EDIT #1: @pinky: I generally use AldosTools context menu for extracting and rebuilding packages. I then use TrueAncestor to rebuild ELF, and PRX files. I mainly use STD or ALT 4.xx settings with or without compression, depending on app.

EDIT #2: For Hulu specifically, what I did was use TA to extract SPRX (using Option 4). I then make modifications to the file, and use AldosTools context menu to Resign PRX back to SPRX. Finally, I use TA (Option 6 with 4.XX ALT / No Compression) to again re-sign the newly signed SPRX. The final ready-to-test SPRX is from TA after signing, and allows normal booting of app.

EDIT #3: For anyone looking for the Japan YouTube NoPSN app, I have now patched that as well here: Youtube-v3.00-[NPJB00286]-NoPSN.pkg

EDIT #4: I have patched TuneIn-Radio-v1.01-[NPUP10042]-NoPSN.pkg for those that want it :)

Alright, I started messing with Hulu again. There are a lot of LOOOONG streamlined functions here!!!

Here are my IDA files complete with hundreds of comments to areas that I have patched, usually by force jumping (B) or nop (60 00 00 00) commands: Hulu-v1.56-[NPUP00046]--[IDA-Refs].zip

This is a screenshot of a HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS AREA present in the "wkf_fs_prx_mf.sprx" file that has seemingly no way of bypassing (i know that's a lie....lol) the signin execution. This area could also be redirected here from somewhere else without a direct cross-reference, or could not even be the correct place to patch!!! Who knows? Hulu dev team might have stuck "decoys" in there to F%$# with us ;)

These areas are "educated guesses" at best!! I just literally walked down the page on some areas, NOP'ing or JMP'ing every branch command that was conditional and was not a "multi call" being called from 10's or 100's of other places. I have noticed that a lot of the NoPSN patch areas on other apps were usually preceded by a CMP instruction with a "Branch if Less" or "Branch if Equal or Greater" instruction that lead to the XMB PSN Splash.

If anyone feels like trying their hand at a few things, the more the merrier!!

I will continue to make attempts tonight and tomorrow, as I have the day off work :)

Is anyone aware of a funimation no psn app? I usually use crunchyroll, but my 3 year old seems to like anime, but crunchyroll is subbed only, and funimation is the only one I know of with legal dubs. If there's none, I'll use the laptop to stream it for her
