Old PS3 Back Up To New PS3

hey guys, new to the forum here. So i just purchased a CECH - 2501A with Evilnat CFW installed on 4.90, webman, multiman, and apollo save tool installed as well all put on there by the guy i got it off of. So my previous console which was a CECH - 3001A died from me trying to Delid it and couldn't get it going again. Before that i have made a Back up to a External harddrive using the data backup utility tool. But that Console was running on Official Firmware. Now i am just wondering if i go to restore that back up on this CFW Ps3 will that overwrite the current firmware back to stock? Do i run the risk of bricking my console this way? if i still get my data back i will be happy anyway and would go through the steps of getting it back on Custom Firmware i really dont want to lose 10 years of gaming data if i can.

PS, i still have my old PS3 drive, tried hooking it up on SATA cable to USB cable on my PS3 and PC but no luck. What do you guys think. Is there still hope. Thanks to whoever took the time to read this

No. Firmware is not written on HDD, in case of NOR models, only part of it which is recreated during firmware installation.

No.

You will not for majority of data because data in protected archives is encrypted by different IDPS than have new console. Only data in none protected archives can be restored on different mother board.
