PS3 Only audio, no video amidst playing a game

I have a slim (CECH-2001A 1tb hdd 4.88 evilnat). One day I was playing a PS1 game and the video signal went away. I still heard audio, and also got audio feedback from changing selections in the game's pause menu. Figured turning it off and holding the power button until the first beep (video output selection screen) would solve the problem, but it didn't. I tried using the AV cable and the video output switch method and still got no video. I tried the hard reset/recovery mode and still got no video. But it still turns on normally, and the controller connects.

What can I do about it? Wiggling the HDMI cord in the port didn't do anything, and the reason I did this was because in the past sometimes I'd lose video signal if the cord wasn't properly positioned. I'm okay with replacing the console, at this point I've had it for more than ten years, but I don't want to lose my save files and trophies, I worked really hard for those.

Should I try replacing the HDMI port? Maybe reflowing solder with a heat gun? Is there another way to get video output? Maybe a way to dump files to usb?

Sorry for the long post, I figured if I include as much information it'll help narrow down the issue.

I should add that I know the hdd gets encrypted to the specific console it's connected to and can't be used on another one without a wipe. *BUT* I don't know if there's a way for me to "dump" this hdd and be able to use it with a replacement console, if that's a thing someone please point me in the right direction

thanks in advance!

Plug the hdd from the PS3 on the PC usb (need a external case) and put the ERK in the folder of the tool and open the HDD GUI.

P.S.: Don't initialize the HDD, just plug it and use the Disc Management on Windows to see if it was recognized.

I understand the steps, however how would I be able to get the ERK if there's no display? or would it show up on windows when plugged in? I should also mention that I have a linux machine as well.

You'll need the ERK, there's no other way to get it other than through the console. You could try to make the dump "blinded" anyway. Watch a video where someone goes to the firmware tools and then to the dump section and try to emulate the move steps. Plug a USB drive with the file system FAT32 on the console to be the place where the key will be dumped.

Start moving through the notifications/messages tab, considering that it is not known whether your console starts from the games tab or the PSN news tab (unless you know which tab it starts from).

Okay. So I've come to share the conclusion to my journey....
I've since bought a replacement console, also a CECH2001A with a bad bd. The plan is to clean, delid, repaste and use the bd from my original console.

Had some time today to tinker with things, and I remembered how people were baking their PS3s to reflow solder under YLOD conditions. So I dismantled my console down to the bare board, and baked it at 400° F for 8 minutes. I prepped a USB drive, and booted it up after reassembly...

IT WORKED.

I do not advice anyone to do this, as it is not guaranteed to work. The only reason I did it is because I had nothing to lose if it didn't work. *IF* for some reason your PS3 motherboard finds itself in the oven, remove the CMOS battery. It WILL explode (100° F).

Once on XMB, went over to Rebug toolbox, dumped ERK to HDD, then went on MM and copied the whole folder to the USB. So mission succeded!!!!

I was curious to see if maybe I could also back up my saves and trophies while it was on, so I opened up apollo save tool, and it froze. As of writing this message I haven't tried to turn it on again, but even if it doesn't start, I got what I needed!

My next question is: Is there a windows program that would let me copy the files to a new drive, and then add the rootkey to it to avoid doing it on the PS3?
