PS2 OPl won't recognize my USB

hi,
i'm running the latest version of opl and have a game loaded on a 128gb usb stick. my ps is compatible and all, so i don't know where the problem stems from. when i load up opl there is no option to change the menu to USB games, as well as nothing else being able to be changed to run from usb. i've watched several tutorials and done it exactly like them, and my opl settings are all different from people's tutorials, meaning some options are different/not even there. i installed the game correctly i'm very very sure. i'm trying to run an iso of smt: p4 and i've already split the iso using usbutil into the root. pls help

What OPL version it is.

All OPL versions and their forks, switching in main menu between USB/HDD, on current versions between BDM(USB/MX4SIO/i.Link), HDD and SMB. Yet You must activate those media in options.

Besides that, current OPL will understand only FAT32 filesystem on MBR partition table for BDM (external media). Nothing else.

it's opl 1.1.0 i believe, or at least latest version that isn't beta. tried the beta and it didn't change anything. i'm starting to think that it's because my ps2 is a fat one and not a slim since everyone in the tutorials had slim ps4s. i can't activate usb in opl iptions, there just is no option for it, i can only do hdd, smb and eth

It is hard to write less technically as it is already very basic.

When You boot OPL, You will see main menu. Near the bottom You see devices etc. which are active or connected. First from the left is USB, should be blue instead of grey (if default theme is used).

Your pendrive must have partition table MBR and one partition on it with FAT32 filesystem. Nothing else is supported (not supported partition table: GPT, not supported filesystems: exFAT, NTFS).
