PS3 Out of the loop. PS2 configs for Cobra?

@tungatung Press the PS button while ingame. If the menu is transparent, you are using ps2_netemu (PS2 Classics emulator). If the background is black and not transparent, you are using ps2_emu (full BC emulator). If the latter, you don't need to do anything else. Just mount and play, and you'll have full compatibility without any need of config files.

And are you full BC? Meaning only the CECHA-00 or CECHB-00? If you are semi BC them you will still need CONFIG files for some games as it is only partial hardware and the rest is still software based.

That being said as long as you are using a Cobra firmware with it enabled it will automatically fault to the correct EMU. Now as stated above see if the PS logo is transparent or black, what firmware are you on? How are you mounting games? And is it a Cobra based firmware and enabled?

Need as much info as possible to help. Will cut back ok tue back and forth saving everyone invoked time. It is ideal for any tech questions as quite a few things share common faults that can or can not have to do with the same thing but different effects.

I have cechaxx revision of the fat model which means it has full bc with ps2 (cpu, gpu, ram). Im running 4.88 evilnat cfw with cobra enabled. Im mounting the iso(s) using multiman.
My concern is that, since i have the hardware based bc model how can i make sure that the ps2 game is running via the hardaware based emulation and not the software based emulation (which runs with the help of config files using the PS2 Classics emulator).

It auto activates for BC systems there is nothing to do. Again mount a PS2 game and get in game. Press the PS button for the menu. If the PS icon is transparent for some reason it's in software mode but I have the same hardware and firmware as you and it boots into PS2_GXEMU not PS2_NETEMU. Another sure fire easy way to check is mount the ISO. If you can launch from the XMB without PS2 classics launcher you are for sure using the hardware EMU files as you can load disc directly from NETEMU. The firmware will auto use the right one.
