Hey guys,
I have a PS3 CECHG04 that had YLOD, so I treated it as a parts donor because I assumed it was the typical 3034 error. Out of boredom, I read out the Syscon and it was 1002, so I replaced the NEC Tokins and it started up again. Now for the actual problem: I can't find the original drive board anymore. So I wanted to pair a new one. But I get an initialization error in the FSM. I first installed the noBD CFW, then pulled the root key, and then installed the normal CFW. Then I went into the FSM and wanted to pair the new drive. But that's where the initialization error occurs. I've read that you should keep trying anyway and it will work eventually. I've now tried to pair the drive about 10 times. Without success. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? I've done the same thing before with a CECHL04, but the original board was still there and only the motor IC was defective, so I left it in until I pulled the root key and then replaced it. With the CECHG, however, I installed the CFW and pulled the root key without a drive installed. Was that the mistake?
Edit: Got it working.
