I haven't had the time to clean or do any sort of general maintenance to this Playstation I acquired today. It is a CECH 2501A model, and has issues playing back game audio on (im assuming considering i tried 8+ retail ps3 games) nearly all disc games (ps3). When i mean "audio issues", its meaning like a sort of staticy/clicking sound when playing any ps3 disc game. It also competely covers up or cancels any game noise so all you hear is what described above. I tried the disc's on my own personal PS3 CECH 3001A and it has no issues playing discs at all. Furthermore, I concluded that a dirty disk drive wasnt a factor, as no visible dust appeared on the bottom of disk, as well any sort of debris. (I should also mention that felt in the disc drive looked noticeably clean as well, and this ps3 hadn't been played for over 10 years due to the conclusions I made from specific file digging)
I'm kind of new to this (surprisingly alive) forum scene for PS3, and figured that it'd be a good idea to ask questions here instead of nonsensical googling. Shoutout to Felix (if he ever sees this) for putting this website on my radar via his excellent YouTube repertoire.
