PS3 Problem installing HFW

I'm needing a little help... it's there a possible way to install HFW 4.86 without using or having a USB? I lost mine some weeks ago, and I'm not able to go out because of the quarantine. I'm on HFW 4.85 with HEN 3.0.0 installed, I can't just download the PS3UPDAT.PUP file and put it in some /dev_hdd0/ folder?

You can update without a USB stick easily enough if you are on HEN 3.0.0.

If you create a dev_hdd0/updater/01/ folder on hdd, and put the 4.86 HFW pup file in there via FTP or a file manager. Then you need to enable HEN and do the QA flag button combo.

Then go into Debug settings and enable "System Update Debug", then you should be able to update from hdd via system update.

Are there other ways to install .pup files from hdd0? or a simpler way to activate System Update Debug?

The idea is to help the user who does not have access to a PC or damaged USB ports.
perhaps activating System Update Debug leaves a file that certifies that this function is active or something similar ..
 
Editing xRegistry.sys but this menu options will not showing up without button combo and QA flag. As I said, there is no other way on HEN.

On CFW You can activate it for good, just by using DEX XMB and changed flag from CEX to QA; yet it will works only on those CFW which respecting QA flag and using QA/DEX XMB.

Normally this option is only for debug kits, devkits and qa test kits, not retail consoles.

If You don't have PC, use phone which exposing SDHC/SDXC or internal NAND in MSC mode (PTP and MTP mode will not work because it is higher level access controlled by OS in some stupid way; so this also forced to be card using FAT32 partition on MBR partition table).
