we should try to poke lv1 in the rsx patch offsets, then, on a converted console, attempt to use the soft lv1 reboot via Target Manager and see what happens. if it reboots and the patch stays there, good. otherwise, we need to think of something else.

That's the idea anyways

@bguerville @STLcardsWS @mysis @LuanTeles

Note that lv1ldr might attempt to load lv1 again, if it does, we're screwed for now.

I won't be home for the next few days :( , @haxxxen @atreyu187 can you test it?

made a simple test on my decr. poked the number 01 to offset 0 of the lv1 memory, then reset via lv1 + lv2 gracefully. the result was that it gave me a blank screen. so yes, it should be possible to do this via CFW with soft reboot :)

Cool, so it can be added to xai plugin, but clock speeds will reset with every complete system shutdown, right?

according to @M4j0r these should be the offsets for the DECR 4.84 REBUG

0x7FCF86 memory clock
0x8BCF86 memory clock
0x3640A6 core clock

i'll double check and then let you know

Outstanding job @zecoxao !!! I wonder how far this project can go without risking the RSX that much, specially on 40nm ones. I'd like to try it someday.

Now I'm imagining 40nm BC PS3s "ONE OF A KIND" on ebay with all the mechanic changes inside with the caps and the RSX lol, you can even boost this damn thing by software :D

Some might feel like this person while working on these beauties:

Great job people, great job :cool2:

Very exciting to see this being done. Thank you to all the devs for your hard work! I'll definitely be trying this at some point as it develops. Who knows maybe this weekend on one of my spare consoles :))) I'll do proper before and after test results too and record my temps before and after as well, then report back. I'll give each method a few hours of testing.
