https://www.psx-place.com/threads/p...etail-ps3-rsx-speeds.36801/page-8#post-328041what is the various self file?
we should try to poke lv1 in the rsx patch offsets, then, on a converted console, attempt to use the soft lv1 reboot via Target Manager and see what happens. if it reboots and the patch stays there, good. otherwise, we need to think of something else.
That's the idea anyways
@bguerville @STLcardsWS @mysis @LuanTeles
Note that lv1ldr might attempt to load lv1 again, if it does, we're screwed for now.
made a simple test on my decr. poked the number 01 to offset 0 of the lv1 memory, then reset via lv1 + lv2 gracefully. the result was that it gave me a blank screen. so yes, it should be possible to do this via CFW with soft reboot![]()
Of course, as long as lv1.self doesn't get patched in flash memory, no amount of poking can help a hack like this to survive a full shutdown/boot cycle.... but clock speeds will reset with every complete system shutdown, right?
Is the endianess of that address correct?according to @M4j0r these should be the offsets for the DECR 4.84 REBUG
0x7FCF86 memory clock
0x8BCF86 memory clock
0x3640A6 core clock
i'll double check and then let you know
