if it is not for the better temps, cause I am a maniac when it comes to high temperatures. I even installed custom heatsink, thus they are so low. it doesn't even pass 50 degrees when gamingWhy would anybody want to underclock? Undervolt I get, but underclock? What good would come if that?
It should, on CFW anyway, as no changes appear to have been made on lower level files in 4.89.will the rsx mod (600/750) work with 4.89.x?
I Hope so.
Why would underclocking result in better temps? Is the voltage automatically dictated by load/clockspeed or are RSX voltage controls expose somewhere else? Would be great to reduce temps on the 90nmif it is not for the better temps, cause I am a maniac when it comes to high temperatures. At this stage, everything we do here with clock mods must be considered experimental testing, there are few certainties, mostly theory, lower clocks may lower power consumption, lower wattage leading to lower temps, but it may also result in lower calculation rates per watt used. Why would underclocking result in better temps? Chicken and egg situation, isn't it?besides, wouldn't lower clock rates give better chances for exploitation?
lol, I know and I have meant on CFW searching for exploits. I also want to learn about exploitation, but I have lost all of my enthusiasm and inspiration because of things happened to me. besides, yesterday my PC has died and now I cannot even doing something even not using Artemis.Chicken and egg situation, isn't it?
How would you go about applying lower clocks without the system being already exploited?

Laptop or desktop?lol, I know and I have meant on CFW searching for exploits. btw, it is hard for me, only using smartphone :![]()
desktop of course, I hate wirelessLaptop or desktop?
What's wrong with it?
Problem with the motherboard?
Might be time for a mobo update anyway? Although that usually means new CPU and possibly new RAM. Bigger budget..desktop of course, I hate wireless
I think it is mainboard itself or if I am "lucky" only gfx card. if it is gfx card, I would be very happy, cause I only have some cheap desktop card (I don't game on PC), which was very cheap. if it is mainboard, I am lost for now, because of money. even I am running this 12 year old X58 system, those mainboards are still hilarious expensive
I am around should you ever wish guidance with basic exploitation skills building.I also want to learn about exploitation, but I have lost all of my enthusiasm and inspiration because of things happened to me.
erm no. I really love my GulfiMight be time for a mobo update anyway? Although that usually means new CPU and possibly new RAM. Bigger budget..
you have said something similar some time ago, so many thanks for your offer.I am around should you ever wish guidance with basic exploitation skills building.
The main problem for most people who start to learn this stuff is that they don't stick to it for long enough to acquire the skills, it takes a few weeks or months to get started and usually people give up before they get their first results, probably demotivated by the amount of work they believe is still ahead of them when in truth, progress is rarely linear and continuous but rather comes in chunks, a bit like being in the dark, seeing the light then all of a sudden, everything makes sense...
Fundamentally, all skills can be acquired, they are never the obstacle, the only obstacle in play is yourself.erm no. I really love my Gulfi

on my side, I am really eager on learning, if it is something I am personally interested in and I need for myself. but atm, I have absolutely no patience. I wanted to fix my builder mod last week, but well, I have started but lost interest. it is hard for me for now. I can remember habib has said to me I have not such skills, but I think he underestimated the free will
very true, but still, I think there are things in life, for which we are simply not made forFundamentally, all skills can be acquired, they are never the obstacle, the only obstacle in play is yourself.
And that holds mostly true for everyone in any endeavour.
Am not so sure tbph.very true, but still, I think there are things in life, for which we are simply not made for
mumble to myself: believe boy, believe in yourself...you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to, it's all mostly in the head..
Mmy performance findings so far:
Demons Souls - framerate runs better across the board, breaking things and triggering engine physics still chugs it briefly. This is more than probably a CPU thing.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - framerate was largely the same, any performance increase or loss is negligible from my findings.
Drakengard 3 - still has hitches that I'm pretty sure is a loading issue, and doesn't maintain 30. It's overall noticeably better though!
Other games I have yet to test but intend to:
Silent Hill Downpour, Splinter Cell HD (has pretty rough fps overall), and I don't own it but will track down a copy of Dark Souls 1 to do some testing if someone hasn't beaten me to it.
I also plan to test World 5-2 in DeS when I get to it in-game as that apparently is one of the harsher performance hitting areas in the game.
Temps were actually unchanged over not having the OC installed (600/750)
Installed on a CECH-2000B
I used the EVILNAT 4.88 PUP with said OC enabled.
My PS3 has never been delidded, just re-pasted recently.
