Maybe. But my PS3 is equipped with an SSD so in my case, probably not.Could it be back then the hard drive being slow and pausing so hard it would crash? Back then we didn't have SSDs on consoles. And HDDs are known to cause crashes.
It's not 1000 it's 950. 1000 nearly bricked me. 900/950 is solid stable. It's safe to say I have the fastest PS3 on the planet. 2501B. And I would have never known my sealed slim PS3 was a golden sample. But I was too curious. Good thing I did.You are back XD, how is your 900/1000?
What model and etc..
Thank you so much!! I just flashed Beta 7 750/900 on my 25xx without issue.I did tell people what you needed to do. Download mfw builder from GitHub (the zip rather than cloning, because when I cloned, there was a weird error when building a mfw. It might've been a fluke though). Open the provided bat to add 4.90 and 4.91 keys. The keys are the same, since like 4.25, so it will add them. Open mfw as administrator, select ps3keys as the location of your keys. Then, select evilnat as the pup, output can be named whatever you want, but it may be required to have the PUP extension. Deselect both rebuilder options, select the lv1 overclock option, scroll down the list to what you want. Then build. I think that's it. Also, depending on where your mfw builder is you may have to give full privileges to the user group.
Now boot up crysis HD and see if you see artifacts.Thank you so much!! I just flashed Beta 7 750/900 on my 25xx without issue.
Try putting the keys.txt in ps3keys folder. Keys.txt is in the data folder. You can just leave it in there, but I'd suggest copying rather than a cutting and pasting.

I forgot to mention about selecting 4.xx cex base for .tar files as well, but it will error before it starts if you haven't selected that. Glad it worked for you.Thank you so much!! I just flashed Beta 7 750/900 on my 25xx without issue.
Looks fine to me - time to climb the ladderNow boot up crysis HD and see if you see artifacts.
850/900? You have a golden sample already. That is if in crysis HD you don't artifact at all. Or in GTA IV.Looks fine to me - time to climb the ladder
Edit: 850/900 seems stable in Crysis at least for 10 minutes...
How can I get the ID of the GPU? I can tell you what I have, maybe we have the same one.850/900? You have a golden sample already. That is if in crysis HD you don't artifact at all. Or in GTA IV.
tell me the ps3 model number and the manufacture date. should be at the bottom of ps3.How can I get the ID of the GPU? I can tell you what I have, maybe we have the same one.
September 2010, 2501Atell me the ps3 model number and the manufacture date. should be at the bottom of ps3.
hmmm thats interesting. so september up to december have chances of having golden binned samples. thats insane. are you sure youve tested extensively. if its rock solid stable on crysis HD for hours an dzero artifacts at all, then you won the lottery.September 2010, 2501A
UPDATE : Thanks to Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, I discovered two issues I hadn't noticed :Maybe. But my PS3 is equipped with an SSD so in my case, probably not.
Also, this user report that MGRR is the only game causing this.
I'll try to update it tomorrow. Maybe it will solve the issue. Last time I played it, it was fully updated and I never had any crash. To be continued...
Both are still needed for testing. Crysis still tells me everything else will be stable artifact wise. And I don't seem to have those instabilities and errors you have. But it's good data though. I'll definitely keep an eye on this. I'll go do some testing for a few hours in a bit. I'll be testing metal gear. See if these crashes happen.UPDATE : Thanks to Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, I discovered two issues I hadn't noticed :
- While being at 700MHz/900MHz, the "Rebuild Database" function won't work as the PS3 do not reboot by itself.
- When trying to refresh XML/XMB games with WebmanMod, an error "80028f14" occur (but the refresh take effect, still).
- Maybe there are more anomalies to be found, but two are already too much for me to consider that 900MHz is stable and safe.
At start, I thought that this could be bugs due to Evilnat 4.91 still being in beta but no. Thanks to Charles_n_town, I was able to test 700/900 based on Evilnat 4.90 and those issues persist.
Lowering clocks values to 700/850 fixed this. (Can't explain why though)
Tonight I will test MGRR again to see if it continues to crash.
At base clocks, it seems to run perfectly fine. So no SSD issue either.
Friendship ended with Crysis. Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is the new TEST xD

How can I switch back?
I haven't got the cex2dex program (it's disappeared since I updated for the beta 5 OC CFW .)
