This PS3 model should handle 700/850-900MHz (700/850 are my favorite frequencies) without issues. It's a safe balance for this model before hitting diminishing returns. We haven't encountered a single 25xx series experiencing problems at these frequencies so far. However, if you're determined to push beyond this, I recommend keeping an e3Flasher on hand and being mindful of the diminishing returns.
The most significant performance gains are achieved up to 700MHz for the core and between 800 and 900MHz for VRAM. Beyond these points, the performance improvements diminish, while the risks of hardware degradation still increase progressively.
