Hey y'all, first time posting.
I got a used PS2 Slim 79k PAL model recently with the intention to do the PS2 Micro mod with HDMI, but I hit a snag when it turned out that it doesn't output any image or sound. The green light comes on, the fan spins as usual, the TV stops showing the "No input" screen - it's just that there's no video or sound.
I've already tried a couple things so let me run those down:
I'm kinda running out of ideas tbh. If anyone has some idea for a component to check or some secret solution - please share

I've already tried a couple things so let me run those down:
- Inspected the board visually. There was some surface level corosion on a corner of the metal shielding of the memory and controller slots, but nothing major and the board itself seems fine.
- Verified that my AV cable isn't faulty using my other working PS2 Slim 70k model (I ordered a component cable to test if it maybe only works with RGB or something, but that's still in the mail)
- I checked (I hope) all of the resistor networks around the Graphics chip and the image processing chip and they were all in the range of 67-68.5 Ohms. I don't have a working 79k model t o compare these numbers against, but I assume that it's the correct value since it shows up on all of them.
- I checked continuity from the plugs of a plugged in AV cable up to the graphics chip and nothing was out of the ordinary.
- Tried the ↓X > ↓↓↓X > ←X to change the video settings on the console, multiple times and with the controller plugged into different ports between attepmpts. I also tested booting with with and without a memory card plugged in. Changing the settings doesn't seem to affect my working 70k model at all though, so I doubt it would have fixed anything anyway, but it was worth a shot.
