I have this problem on my main gaming PS3, lateish phat CECHK.
After power on at random times, but usually during first 15 minutes the video signal disappears - TV goes into no signal mode and then picture returns as if nothing happened. Lately the duration of disappearing video has been getting longer, at first these were blinks, now they can be tens of seconds.
I checked my SYSCON errors yesterday, and nothing video related is on there, only non FF codes are A080 2022's so something to do with audio, am I right? (And from the time years ago I set up my present digital to analog audio routing.)
I suspect without thorough electrical knowledge caps aging *somewhere* - but the question is if caps, which ones to change (electrolytics somewhere I guess?). Of course the whole problem could have nothing to do with caps at all. Any ideas?
//EDIT Was posting this in PS3 hardware section, I thought, but apparently wasn't
