PS3 PS2 ISO LAUNCHER 1.03 by HABIB

As most PS3 CFW user's know launching PS2 ISO (w/ Cobra) after firmware 4.46 caused many problems for nonBC consoles. Developer HABIB has been mowing down these obstacles, first he found a solution for the wireless sync issues on a single controllers, Then later on he fixed this for all controllers connected . Then also the developer has fixed the memory card bug.[break]s[/break]

Now developer HABIB has released a new version of PS2 ISO Launcher (v1.03) for HABIB COBRA 4.70 V1.02 CFW. This release comes with empty memory card and same klicensee. Also this version comes equipped with a PS2 Classic Converted Game (Homebrew Game), that you should start first before mounting a PS2 ISO, this ensure controller syncing and is a very important step. Instructions:

1.) Activate ps2 classic placeholder through psnpatch or reactpsn and install this pkg
2.) Run it and maintain sync (without mounting any games)
3.) Now onwards when you mount a ISO, run the Placeholder Icon and ISO will be loaded

This pkg includes pre-added memory cards as well

1.) Habib 4.70 cobra 7.10 v1.02
2.) (theoretical compatible) Rebug 4.70.1 with cobra on joonies github (compilation required) (CEX only-dex requires a patch)

Finally we have passed through PS2 ISO difficulties after 4.46 cobra.

funny is he thanked me in the Hax thread and all I did was provide an icon that he didn't use

You cant use CaptainCPS-X version for PS2 ISO. it was well before that time. (just for PS2 Classics)

I believe they are one in the same difference is in the firmware mounting ISOs to that location

Your icon was fantastic, and many people could use it if they want to.
There are two reasons I didn't use it:
1.placeholder confusion(many noobs out, trust me)
2.link was uploaded and there were loads of mirrors

Oh I wasn't complaining at all don't get me wrong, I've actually already removed that one from my system an am now using the one I posted in this thread

I assure you that also works for PS2 ISO
PS2 ISO working with Placeolder because it is done redirection (thanks to Habib) that makes CFWs (Habib 4.66/4.70 and Rebug 4.65/4.70)

80010006 error is when in /PS2U10000/USRDIR not is present a ISO.BIN.ENC file and if you have installed Launcher Rebug edition this edition is not present.
ISO Launcher v1.03 by Habib has ISO.BIN.ENC

I'm aware of that and thats why I went through the steps to switch to MultiMan mode and converted a game to classic but still received the error which is why I switched back to this 1.03 placeholder. Regardless, it's all functioning properly now so no worries. I appreciate your help!

Hi.

I'm using Rebug v4.70.1 REX on a Slim, tried this and all I can play is Tetris.
How do you make the mounted PS2 ISO play instead?

 

Mount game using webman, play using launcher.

Disable PS2 Classics with webMAN MOD (L2+SELECT+TRIANGLE)

Edit: be sure to assign memory card before entering game

 

It's not a big deal. I play my PS2 isos as Classics, using ps3tools to convert them.

Here's a request to [MENTION=6]bitsbubba[/MENTION]: The Characters of "PS2 ISO & Classic Launcher" in the icon should be made with Tetris-blocks.
