PS3 PS2 ISO LAUNCHER 1.03 by HABIB

As most PS3 CFW user's know launching PS2 ISO (w/ Cobra) after firmware 4.46 caused many problems for nonBC consoles. Developer HABIB has been mowing down these obstacles, first he found a solution for the wireless sync issues on a single controllers, Then later on he fixed this for all controllers connected . Then also the developer has fixed the memory card bug.[break]s[/break]

Now developer HABIB has released a new version of PS2 ISO Launcher (v1.03) for HABIB COBRA 4.70 V1.02 CFW. This release comes with empty memory card and same klicensee. Also this version comes equipped with a PS2 Classic Converted Game (Homebrew Game), that you should start first before mounting a PS2 ISO, this ensure controller syncing and is a very important step. So does this make it so you can use multiple controllers wirelessly? I've used it but can only get one controller to stay synced wireless. I'm on rebug by the way, unless that feature is only in habib's firmware.

Only in habib cfw you get wireless sync to all controllers and many ps2 bug fixes

Hello, Is there a way to copy a savedata from memory card utility to this ps2 iso launcher ? Thank you

of course. I've converted some people's saves when there was an issue of some sort. the ps2 save data has a file system of its own; ps1 doesn't though. just some added info I guess. u'll have to post it in this thread though as I don't accept pm's anymore.

Isn't better to give him fishing rod, than prepared fish? :p

1. Copy your memory card from location dev_hdd0/savedata/vmc/<virtual_memcard>.VM2 to pc (use usb stick or ftp).
2. Change extension from VM2 to VMC
3. Download and run http://www.psx-place.com/forum/tools/download-224-ps2-classic-gui.html
4. On encrypt tab select "Encrypt VMC" ,then select your memory card.
5. Save file as SCEVMC0.VME (case sensitive)
6. Copy your new SCEVMC0.VME to dev_hdd0/game/PS2U10000/USRDIR/SAVEDATA

This will overwrite your encrypted memory card that you used on isos before! Is also possible to copy only one save but process is much complicated. If you don't want to lose old VME rename it to SCEVMC1.VME if game recognize slot 2 memory card.

of course. I have that information in a tutorial which no one seems to read. :p u can also save multiple games to the same card. I mentioned the file system, 'cause if u try to copy/paste ps1 game saves as ps2, u'll ruin the save. I'm not sure if there's any way to recover it. ps1 saves have 16 blocks with 15 being saves and one being the file list. if it's not a raw save, it's ruined. that's not the case with ps2 saves though. :)

You got me, partially :) I forget that is one of your tuts because i don't read this one as i feel good in ps2 related things (I know a lot about ps2 and dc scene/hombrew related things), i really don't even open it. Shame on me.. But i read a lot of your tutorials here, but yeah this one i even don't open spoiler (which is changed now).

those tutorials eventually became more about how long they could get than anything else considering most sceners don't want to learn anything. I posted most of that information in my tutorials, so no one would have to look up the information elsewhere. I suppose some of it was in preparation for the ps4 which is likely to be hacked similarly to the 360. it would've been prudent for some to understand how that hack works as it bypasses all of the security of the system which is what cobra wanted to do with the ps3. that fell flat for whatever reason. anyway, it pays to understand the system. I'm now in the 3ds scene as I've learned all I need to to do whatever I want. I'm sure there r some who'd be afraid to take off the battery panel considering u need to in order to grab the micro-sd of a new 3ds. using a screwdriver and ur thumb is so difficult... lmao!

@kosarovv thank you so much !!! You make me fell so good, ´cause now i´ll play my savedata with this ISO launcher and wireless. (Y) Thank you all.

iso launcher problem

i have a problem ive launched the file the first time load the iso from multiman and it worked
the next time i try it shuts down my Ps3 im on the latest Habib 4.70 cfw cobra

What happened the 3rd time?

The 3rd time i load the .iso file , then launch the placeholder and it turns off the ps3

Turning on the ps3 now it would dim to a yellow light then blink red so i would have to wait like 5-10 mins to get it booting up , [but this is a different problem].

is the original ps2 classic placeholder really needed over which placeholder 1.03 by habib is installed?
at least that's what the first step says

There is no need to install placeholder. Only latest launcher (1.03) is needed.

Remember that only different between placeholder and this launcher is embed iso.bin.enc and vme files. Is still that same placeholder but with easier install/first run process. Just to be more noob friendly.

The original placeholder was only for launching PS2 Classic format Games, where as the new one will also launch no encrypted ISO's

[MENTION=2]STLcardsWS[/MENTION] Are you tryed to launch ISO with standard placeholder on modern firmware? I think iso just launch without problem. Is cobra or modded emu (90% that is cobra) part to launch this via PS2U10000 folder method.
