PS3 PS2 ISO LAUNCHER 1.03 by HABIB

As most PS3 CFW user's know launching PS2 ISO (w/ Cobra) after firmware 4.46 caused many problems for nonBC consoles. Developer HABIB has been mowing down these obstacles, first he found a solution for the wireless sync issues on a single controllers, Then later on he fixed this for all controllers connected . Then also the developer has fixed the memory card bug.[break]s[/break]

Now developer HABIB has released a new version of PS2 ISO Launcher (v1.03) for HABIB COBRA 4.70 V1.02 CFW. This release comes with empty memory card and same klicensee. Also this version comes equipped with a PS2 Classic Converted Game (Homebrew Game), that you should start first before mounting a PS2 ISO, this ensure controller syncing and is a very important step. Instructions:

1.) Activate ps2 classic placeholder through psnpatch or reactpsn and install this pkg
2.) Run it and maintain sync (without mounting any games)
3.) Now onwards when you mount a ISO, run the Placeholder Icon and ISO will be loaded

I really need help....
I tried so many tutorials now and nothing works. And I am totally clueless in what I am doing wrong.
I load an ISO with Multiman and start it in XMB with Loader and Icon, but the PS3 simply turns black and then shuts down.
My actual CFW is Habib 4.70 vers. 1.03 and I work with Iso Launcher 1.03. My PS3 (40GB) is nonBC.
Please help.

My PS3 does this as well time to time and has even with Classics. I have to format my HDD and reinstall the firmware twice for it to stop and does for a while then reverts back to the same BS. I also have to delete my xregisrty settings also. Plaguged me every since Rebug 4.30.1 mine is a CECH-2501A and I just gave up as its a PITA just to enjoy PS2 titles on my system. I get a No Video signal and it just locks up. Have to hold power down for 15 seconds to power off. Even tried new HDD's to no avail.

I tried Makai Kingdom, Dragon Quest 5 and Tales of the Abyss.
I have a CECHJ04.

PS2 emulating is a pain in the a... but my 60GB model got a YOLD and now I am trapped with a nonBC model.

I doubt you made a mistake with rap activation. can you try to play PS2 games with disc icon also ? [without ps2 classic launcher method]

I'd say follow [MENTION=7]atreyu187[/MENTION] 's suggestion, I remember that him saying he had a problem like yours, also, if nothing works, try installing rogero 4.46 / cobra just to see if that fixes ps2 issue as well.

 

It does the same when I try it with disc icon.
Sadly I am not that fit in formatting HD, downgrading, etc. and I know nothing about registry

Shutdown occurs because the klicensee does not match.

Fix:
Go to recovery mode and do restore defsult settings(no, it wont format your hdd)
Follow the video tut exactly

It might also happen if you are using linux and forgot to set gameos boot flag
Oh oh and also if you **** up with flash files

Reinstall cfw would be the fix, but if still stuck, do the following steps as well

Ok, I reinstalled cfw and restored default settings.
Followed the video, loaded PS2 Iso, but my PS3 still goes down beeping.
It can't be a linux problem, I am using windows.

Maybe I am messing up with the files.
I have the iso.bin.enc in the folder the launcher tells me. The ISO is still in PS2ISO.
I load the Iso with multiman and then start it with the launcher. Or do I have to load the iso.bin.enc?? I don't know how to to that.

 

Habib mean there PS3 linux, if you don't know that probably is not your problem there. Can you write step by step how you activated ps2 launcher? I mean rap, psnpatch, react psn, etc.

Yesterday, after updating my cfw from 4.70 1.01 HABIB to the latest 4.70 1.03 made by HABIB too, I tried to install this ISO Launcher 1.03; Successfully, i could and played ProEvolutionSoccer2014 for hours with
the dualshock controller wirelessly synced. From that point all ok, but today i've tried to play two more games, so I did make the ISO files of my DISCs using mmCM, but then when i tried to play them they've got stuck.
More exactly, the ProEvolutionSoccer6 got stuck in black screen obliging me to get out to xmb; and the other one, smashCourtTennis2, crashed when getting into the game-menu and ps3 got stuck requiring holding on power button to power it off.
Whats more frustrating is that now the first game that worked fine isn't working too, it gets stuck the same way the PES6 does.
I've already attempted to reinstall everything the way it worked before, but with no luck unfortunately (also restoring and formatting from recovery).
Anyone with a solution to this?
I don't know if its important but the tetris part is ok for me whenever i try. The blacks screen and that kind of crashes comes only when trying the iso files.
I'm running all this in an PS3Slim.
Hope you know a solution to this problem.
Edit: I manage to run just the PES, SmashCourtTennis still crashes, games normally launching them as ps2classic from normal multiman, but using isos still remains in crashes anyway.

 

This happen sometime, specially on CECH-H, but i got this before also on 210X. I never found how to fix that. All PS2 ISOS giving me black screen (~from habib cobra 4.53 or 4.55 i don't remember exactly), but classics work ok.

 

With exception of SmashCourtTennis2 that still crashes on game-menu, whether playing it as iso or ps2Classic.

Hi. I own a PS3 Slim with Habib 4.70 Cobra. I'm using Irisman as manager. I've followed instructions for installation but I haven't been able to load PS2 ISO. I have sync the controller launching de placeholder and playing Tetris. I've placed the ISO in hdd0:/PS2ISO (final path will be /hdd0:/PS2ISO/GTASanAndreas/sanandreas.iso) however Irisman doesn't recognized the ISO in retro section.

I've tried to place the ISO in a ntfs partition on my external HD (final path /ntfs0:/PS2ISO/GTASanAndreas/sanandreas.iso) and Irisman showed up the ISO. However when I push buttom to load ISO, it appears this message "Do you want to copy the PS2 Image to PS2 Classics Placeholder?" and when I accept it I see this error message "ERROR: PS2 Image could not be copied to PS2 Classics Placeholder"

How can I test if the CFW version is 4.70 Habib Cobra (I haven't installed it by the previous owner tell me that that was the version)?, could you help me?

Correct path is dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/gta.iso

You wrong, PS2ISO work only from internal hdd. And prepNTFS is not needed for that.
