Hi I'm a bit new so PS3 troubleshooting and repairs so I'd appreciate some help into steps I can try to troubleshoot my syscon set up
I picked up a YLOD CHECHA - 01 PS3 that seemed like it had an RSX Reball attempt on it. The board seems to be in okay shape except for the RSX which has some residue from the Reball attempt
I have a FTDI Serial converter soldered on to the TX contact pad and the RX PinJig port (the RX contact pads were ripped off) and connected to my PC. I used the SysconReader GUI from the SYSCON guide.
I followed through the steps and already configured COM port settings to be the appropriate one for CXR. However I can't seem to set path Authentication with SysconReader throwing either a Program Error or Auth1 Response Invalid. Sometimes there's a message of "Failed to Communicate to COM" on a pop-up window.
I also tried to used the UART Python script in the Command Prompt and it only returns Auth1 Response Invalid.
Any troubleshooting steps I'm missing or is this board a complete write off?
