Hello,
I have 3 questions to downgrading a ps3

1. Will my save files games or homebrow application corrupted when i go lower than 3.55 ( 1.97)

2. Must i go first on 3.55 and then 1.97 ? Or can i directly go 1.97

3. when i get back on 4.84 rebug is my machine then on dex or cex and must i go 3.55 and then 4.84 rebug or directly 4.84
 
There is no a real benefit to downgrade below 4.84 (the last DEX CFW). Is there a motive to you to go below this? It's not possible to say if your homebrews will work. Your PS3 will remain on CEX if you downgrade and upgrade again. To become DEX, you need to convert it.

I wanna go back for 2 days or so just for the memories and checking put otheros section ik theres otheros++ but for the memories i want to go back

Avoid to go below 2.50, because there is no recovery under this. So, if you soft brick, it will be dificult to recover. And also, don't forget to check the minimum version possible to your PS3. I don't know what could happen if you try to downgrade under this.

Bricks happen when you downgrade below minver

Minimum 1.97
 
I don't recommend messing with old firmwares that don't have safe mode, what you want to do should not be extremely risky BUT be cautious.

If you still wanna do it, you can try the following steps in that order:
1. If you are in DEX mode, convert to CEX.
2. If QA is not toggled on, toggle it & reboot.
3. Run the MinVerChk PUP just to ensure that minver is 1.97 (spoofed idps may corrupt minver)
4. If minver == 1.97, install the 1.97 PUP file from XMB or from safe mode.

When your trip down memory lane is over, in theory all you need to do is install Rebug REX 4.84 directly from XMB.

Btw homebrews will not work as it will be ofw 1.97, only some old (pre 1.97) disc games & psn games/app would work fine.
PSN won't be available so any PSN app (if you manage to get one to start) or system service requiring it won't be available either.
Whenever you get back on REX 4.84, your homebrews & games should not be corrupted as long as you don't mess with anything while on older firmware(s).

With the latest ps3xploit you may patch your nand/not with the hex file, go direct to cfw(rebug preferably), then with rebug toolbox enable was flag, then install whatever cfw you wish whether it's an upgrade or downgrade without issues due to qa flagging.
