Alright, So I swapped my HDD from a 160gb to a 500gb drive. I know how to reinstall the firmware from the safe mode and recovery mode thing. But every time I go to reinstall it either says "No Applicable Update Data Found" or "The Data is corrupt" Every flash drive I tried it gave the same results. And yes, they are all fat32 and set to mbr. The flash drives work too. I'm just trying to reinstall stock sony firmware so I can rejailbreak.

check the md5 of the pup while it is on the usb device. if it is good, read the second and third tabs in my guide here for more suggestions.

You have to post:

*Exact PS3 model
*Lastest firmware installed
*If the console was hacked with CFW or not
*Current FW you're trying to install

Are you trying to install the same FW that it had? If it was hacked, I know some fixed this issue by applying the same CFW version. Also, if your console isn't hacked or patched, when trying to install a CFW pup it will give you "data corrupted".
