PS3 ps3 freezes while using youtube

my ps3 phat keeps freezing after an hour or so. i see a green light and no yellow or red lights blinking. I am on Rebug 4.82.1 cfw. I am running YouTube v1.11-no PSN as it is working. I have checked the temps and they seem cool. After an hour or so the ps3 still runs but the screen and controller are not responding. I can press the power button on the ps3 to power it off. I tried swaping the hdd and rebuilding the system but nothing has worked.

Necrobump, but how did you solve it? I'm having the same issue.

I was also having issues last night (happened 3 or 4 times throughout the few hours I was watching), but each time I was still able to reboot the PS3 with the ++ webMAN MOD button combo, so the system hadn't frozen altogether.

Upon rebooting I got the message about improper shutdown and whether or not to check the file system for errors, as it would if you cut the power due to a system lock-up. It only seemed to happen when I was charging my controller, but that might have just been a coincidence.

Here it started yesterday also, it already has frozen 3 times, I just replaced my HDD, and I don't want it to die again.

I don't think a HDD issue is the cause, as coincidentally our issues seemed to begin at around the same time. I'm still looking into it as it's quite annoying and I'd like to find out the cause and hopefully a solution lol

Same issue here. Games work fine, but YouTube freezes up the whole system, seemingly when I try to control the playback.
