PS3 PS3 Game Data file - corrupt data but no error

I was recently playing a game on the ps3 and after the title screen the game would just freeze. But there was no error. I had to restart the ps3. At first, I thought maybe there was a scratch on the disk, but after looking at it it seemed ok I couldn't see any scratches by eye. But I figured this meant I needed to replace the game. I didn't play this game much though so put it on my to-do list. After awhile, I just deleted the game data to free up space. This particular game takes up a lot of space for game data (about 5gb). Then after re-installing the game ran perfectly fine.

I've replaced several games on my ps3 that just got old from wear and tear. But it just may be that your ps3 hdd is old, or there is corrupted data somewhere that needs to be deleted and reinstalled!

Data corruption does not come from nothing. Check S.M.A.R.T report of this HDD to knows more. And if this is SSD, then it is probably one of the incompatible.
