PS3 PS3 Slim 2504B no display, no controller sync but no SYSCON errors

Hi, I recently bought a PS3 Slim model CECH-2504B. Console was dirty but functional, read BDs, output image, etc. all good till this point. I decided to open it like I usually do with all the used consoles I have bought.
Cleaned it, repasted it, closed it, forgot to put thermal pads in it, reopened it cut new thermal pads and added them to the 2 points on the VRMs that had thermal pads before (used 2mm thick ones, same thickness as original pads).

This is where it gets interesting. After reassembling the console, it would turn on normally but would not want to output video (tried both HDMI and the AV cable on multiple monitors and TVs) or sync with any of the DualShock 3 controllers I tried to connect to it via USB. Tried to hold the power button to get to the reset video output, nothing. Tried to get to recovery mode, nothing, still no display. Console beeps normally like any other PS3 but no display. Controllers only showed like they were charging when in recovery mode but would not connect. I even pulled out the HDD and tried all this but to no avail.

So I decided to connect an external UART to the SYSCON Rx Tx points.

As you can see there are no errors or issues on startup or shutdown. I honestly don't know what could be wrong. I can't even find anyone with a similar issue online.

If anyone has any idea as to what might be the issue I would be greatful!

Sounds like a Bluetooth or wireless problem maybe bad ribbon cable or connection antenna ect. Or short somewhere sometimes thermal paste accidentally touching a component or trace in motherboard, inspect everything carefully. Hope this helps?

Thank you very much for your response @Yugonibblit !!
I have one more question. Could this have been caused from the stress the board underwent when I was taking off the heatsink? The board bent quite a bit when trying to get the thermal paste to let go of the motherboard but visually there is no damage to the motherboard or any components missing. Also is there any way to tell if the antenna of the wireless module is the issue?
Again, thank you very much for your assistance!!

Yes flexing the motherboard could cause lots of problems like breaking solder trace's under CPU RSX ect. But you would think that show up in sycon reader but you say you have flexed the motherboard pretty bad. I have had to reflow a HDMI ic chip from another console to fix GLOD. I'm suspecting your wireless or Bluetooth module has failed testing the antenna could be done by using one from another console I was thinking maybe broken wire or maybe not plugged in correctly hope this helps for something for you :sfun oldguy: :D
