PS3 PS3 SLIM takes some time to boot.

hellou =0, my ps3 slim will take more than 60 secs to boot, I mean, the led stays green but the fan does not spin until 60 seconds or more, then the fan begin to spin and hdd boots normally, what could it be the cause?

hdd is my guess, take it out and see if it also takes a while to boot to the "system storage" error screen

I had an old 350gb HDD, installed a new 1gb HDD and the same thing happens, I even had to wait more than 60 seconds to install the firmware in the new HDD as well.

Sorry i misread, yeah system takes the same time to show the system storage error screen, would be a defective power supply?

nope, power supply wouldn't do this, my bet is on the NOR chip being defective or about to die, or NEC/TOKIN caps. if you still can make a backup of your flash, make one ASAP in case you already don't have one

Yeah I did a backup of my system one year ago.Anyway when I bought the console the HDMI port was dead. So is the console's death incoming?

nah, the nor can be changed but you need to have a backup to write it to the new one, or the perconsole data will be gone forever with NO chance to revive it (as of now, that is... who knows what the wizards of the scene might come up with in the future)

Nice, sadly my soldering skills are 0 and I don't know where to buy NOR flash replacements :´c.
