PS3 StoreHaxx 4.83 /4.84 IDPS/PSID Dumping Method [Release]

Very interesting method, nice work guys.

So I've just installed it just failed I lost all the games I got from the previous version of 4.82 via HAN bad luck :(

Hey man, look on the bright side, at least you're not this guy...

In all seriousness though, it's probably best to read the whole post before impulsively trying something like this, the warnings and such are there for a reason.

do you have an active internet connection, and is this a clean formatted 4.83 OFW?

if some minor issues arise on clean 4.83 OFW consoles that can be easily fixed or looked at, we may release an updated revision down the road.
yes i have connection and was a clean 4.83 i can redownload from online just to make sure there was no errors

are you 100% sure you can connect to a website...like google.com?

Huh, so I just got it kind of working. I realized I forgot to set the date/time on my console since it was a fresh install. Set that via internet and the store now loads up at least. But it seems to be loading the full store for some reason, so I'll restore the back up again and see if that fixes it.

May have been my mistake all along.

Edit: Yep, that was it! Upon booting the console back up I got the information to display. Many thanks! Expect some paypal donation here shortly :D

I bet that left a mark

Is it possible to use a sector by sector backup on the same PS3? Just in case of I had some ploblem with the "original", so I could just replace HDD...

Be careful with such setup. ^^ CECHL04 after replacing HDD (the same fw, the same installation, just different disk) force formatting. On xRegistry.sys there is filed with HDD model, his fw and s/n (maybe it's used for such purpose). In the past, here on this forum, we have talk about it and many users said it works without format. So I don't understand (and don't planning any tests)...

Soon? 4.82 was open for about a year (with exploits/hacks for all models)
I think next scheduled maintenance update they will get around to it,

Who knows. And isn't applications (at least PSS) could be updating independently?

The PS Store could be updated and later version patched for this type of function and editing , but updates really only work if the app is needing a PSN connection.

Seriously??? You didn't see the PS3 spit the disc out like a crossbow bolt and smack him clean in the face??? Watch at the end you will see the PS3 eject the disc, then fire it at his face....:rolling: WHACK....its funny as hell....

What warning would that be?..... "Caution, I am not responsible if your PS3 goes homicidal and tries to kill you by using this hack...use at own risk to life" or "Warning may cause hidden Electronic Warfare.self. to activate....." :rolling:

@jcorrea Ok... I checked this today on the same model with OFW 3.55 with HDD and SD card. Both are switchable without formatting need... I'm totally confused now. But anyway, this means that it is probably full safe method as long as Your dump is propper.

Thanks. I would try it this weekend. But with an 1TB HDD. The PS3 backup method is painful and slow...

just the store being updated, by itself, should not affect StoreHaxx, although the EBOOT does seem to have a stranglehold on some errors, so a significant store update may not allow StoreHaxx to get past loading screen...this will have to be determined in the future, i guess lol

a firmware update that patches out those calls could be effective, but that alone will not affect 4.83 and lower versions.

if s#ny patches the store in a significant way AND also pushes out a firmware update, it will most likely break StoreHaxx :)
