i have at least one confirmation working on a CECH-G01 with 4.82 OFW w/HAN using package version.

i will try getting results from another 4.83 OFW G model. i have an E model i need to reflash i could test with also

that is a weird issue.

for my amusement, are you able to change hard drives for another one and reinstall fw?
 
I keep getting the service is currently under maintenance when I open storehaxx.Any thoughts

i solved your problem :)

i tested this scenario:

  • set clock manually to the wrong year
  • launch StoreHaxx
  • get black screen XMB style maintenance error
  • close StoreHaxx with PS button
  • set clock by internet
  • launch StoreHaxx
  • this is where the problem occurs. for a current unknown reason, in this state now the PS3 will download the cache again from servers
  • once new cache is downloaded, the StoreHaxx mod has mostly been overwritten
  • you will now receive an in-app maintenance message, different from previous one
  • StoreHaxx is now broken in this state

your screen probably looks like this, or similar when launched after clock is correct

the good news is you can just restore again with proper date and it should work fine

the other good news is that a workaround can probably be made for this *bug* ;)

we'll see how things go...

good to hear :)

just literally open a new file in hex editor and type out the bytes on screen and SAVE

Replace the 0's in screenshot with your actual IDPS. it will be 16 bytes long

Suggestions and a question for the StoreHAXX instructions (top post).

#1 Update instructions to point to new possible ways which are not destructive
  1. IDPS: With HFW 4.84 and PS3Xploit's ACT/IDPS Dumper you can dump the console's IDPS and the user's activation file.
    After that the console owner can revert to OFW 4.84 if wanted. No trails left behind.
  2. OpenPSID: Create a normal backup with the PS3 and use kakaroto's/lmn7's PS3Xport with
    command option ExtractPSID to retrieve the console's OpenPSID.
#2 What's the best clean-up method after using StoreHAXX?
Despite knowing the easier ways from above I was still curious to test out StoreHAXX.
Let's say someone doesn't know how to do a 1:1 sector copy of an HDD, e.g with Clonezilla.
Is the following the best method to clean-up the PS3 and get back to its previous state?
  • Make PS3 backup before StoreHAXX restore.
  • Do all StoreHaxx tasks.
  • Initialize PS3 to clean the HDD.
  • Restore own PS3 backup.
#3 Place warning from "about" tab on top of all tabs
The sentences in red:
"YOUR HARD DRIVE WILL BE FORMATTED DURING THIS PROCESS!
IT IS RECOMMENDED TO BACKUP/SYNC ANYTHING IMPORTANT BEFORE STARTING!"
... should be moved above the tabs, for those people that click immediately on the setup tab.
Or just repeat them on top.

Hello! Is Storehax over? I need to get the data from my console without opening it with e3flash and I went to use Storehax, but when it enters there is no longer the option to press the triangle and rescue it, it always worked in any version, does anyone know if it will come back to normal? Or another tool or site that can rescue it? Thank you guys !
