PS3HEN Ps3 SuperSlim slow game copy

if you haven't already try cleaning the laser with little bit of Methylated spirits or cleaning product similar such as standard rubbing alcohol using a cotton bud over it lightly. I use to have issues like this with the xbox 360 and when talking to randoms on PSN over the year's that where having issues with games that kept messing up I told them to do it and solved the issue 9/10 times, also my old CECH4000 use to fail to read disc sometimes and this would fix it, also the HDD in the system can sometimes be to blame, for example I had a 500GB hdd I transferred from a CECH4000 to a CECH2000 which crapped its self after installing GTA V, was taking over a minute to load textures, games where freezing or struggling to load, XMB was really laggy etc and if I tried reinstall firmware was getting stuck on 99%. So I swapped to SSD's in all my systems. The CECH4000 run the best of all the models with a SSD though the system can never really take full advantage of a high grade one, I mainly bought mine for the memory features which saved my data during power surges more times then I can count. To give you an idea over 8 years I blown 10 TV's, had multiple console's with burn marks inside the PSU from power surges even though I was using a surge protector and the random shutting off due to the surges where I lived. Think around 7 of the HDD 's I had messed up over a two year period when surges get really bad, So was a good investment for me as never had a SSD fail when I lost power.

Though I lived in middle of nowhere and power would go out if it rained, surges where frequent. Getting solar power fixed the overall issues with power surges but prior to that was all about quality surge protectors and maintain electronics when the board failed as replacing them wouldn't make sense in this situation.

Sorry about getting off topic though hopefully this information is helpful to somebody.

Is not of topic bc we're talking the same topic with some variations.
So, all my hdds where destroyed by electricity problems. I didn't want to move to a sdd In a ps3 because, All that I read about it was compatibility problems. For my PC doesn't really matter, is just a crappy minilaptop and just use it to make some things that I can't do with my phone.
I didn't have problems with my games, just only when I try to make a iso backup. Didn't have any psn game or something, don't have too much options to get usd's (like PayPal or zelle) to pay, so I buy used game disks.

I just hate disk so much lol. I hate when they get scratches and my ps3 doesn't recognize them. I use to backup ALL my games, I constantly move out my house, and I don't like to go somewhere and have to travel with them lol. I use to play too much Street Fighter and Soul Calibur, and thankfully they didn't have any problem when I tried to backup them...

HDD issues can come from many things, most the time it's just the age and being moved around that causes the issues, or using a cheaper HDD for task it was not designed for, This was just in my situation, as for the laser it was only a suggestion if hasn't been tried already. Though I was off topic for sure, though backing up disk is what I have been doing with all my games as most mine are Japanese and can't be found anywhere online. sometimes I find them on Chinese sites but downloads are IP blocked and VPN doesn't work to make accounts anymore so gave up with those. Though I can relate to the moving alot part, I was moving every 6 months for quite awhile so all my games where getting stored on a SSD. As for compatibility issue's i've not had any of that personally even when downgraded to 3.55 though in saying that never really tried running games on 3.55 with an SSD. Though in saying that with the 60GB consoles the frame rates of some games might have been worse but couldn't say for sure as I never done a comparison, as for loading games never seemed to have any issues with psn games though again would need to see a comparison using backup files vs ISO's with and without an SSD before I could say anything regarding that. Also it could be the some SSD's might perform poorly when they reach a certain temperature in say the 60GB though again I can not confirm that without doing thermal testing, also they type and brand might place a factor. I have used WD and Samsung SSD's in my consoles and found them better then the HDD for my personal use. Though in saying that I can only go off my personal experience, Though there are people on site that will have better knowledge on the subject.

Though I have never played backups on a CECH4XXX as I don't use hen, so I can only speak for my OFW that had a SSD in it regarding speeds though again this is off topic, I do apologise for that.

And talking about getting currency to buy digtal games, you could use G2A to buy PS Now, PS Plus and Wallet Funding, another trick depending what country your from you can use disposable visa gift cards, don't register a name or address on them online though if you want it to work for any countries psn store, I have a giftcard I use on the US, UK, HK and Japanese stores. This solution I found works well as you can use the card for security of the account, it doesn't have your personal details tied and it works for all regions. Though I know not everyone can afford to do so
