PS3Xploit, trouble with PS2; PSP and PS1 working [SOLVED]

Hey everyone,

I've recently installed the Han Exploit on my PS3. I've been following this tutorial:

I'm able to get both PS1 and PSP working, but not PS2.

I'm converting using PS2Classics_GUI, resigning just as the tutorial tells me to, installing, etc., but when I run it, it says I need to activate the content.

Am I missing something?

PS3 on 4.81OFW, running HAN.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Please forgive my noobness, but how do I install the rif package?

I signed 2P0001-PS2U10000_00-0000111122223333.rap with PS3xploit-resigner-master, installed it on my secondary account (the throwaway one), and I'm still getting this activation issue.

Do I need to install anything else besides the PS2 pkg and the RIF000-INSTALLER_00-0000000000000000.pkg_signed.pkg ?

Did you resign ps2 package?
If yes then verify your rap file is correct, your act.dat is of same account e.g dumped from throwaway account and rif omg installed on throwaway as well. It would work then

I followed this procedure, please tell me where I went wrong:
- Dumped act.dat and idps.hex from throwaway account;
- Got the rap file from ps3tools: 2P0001-PS2U10000_00-0000111122223333.rap;
- Copied act.dat and idps.hex to resign-master folder;
- Copied the ps2 pkg to resign-master folder;
- Dragged the pkg to ps3xploit_rifgen_edatresign.exe - got signed pkg;
- Copied 2P0001-PS2U10000_00-0000111122223333.rap to \rifgen-master\raps;
- ran resign_all.bat;
- Copied RIF000-INSTALLER_00-0000000000000000.pkg_signed.pkg and resigned ps2 pkg to USB;
- Installed both PKG;
- Ran installed ps2 and got the error message saying I need to activate the content :|

Am I using the wrong RAP file?
I can use PS1 and PSP perfectly, why not PS2?

Are you installing the pkg on the throwaway account or primary?
It should work provided you install pkg in the right user, right act.dat and right rif

I'm dumping from throwaway and installing pkg on throwaway.
Do I have to install anything else? Placeholders or something?

Do you think it has something to do with the system activation?

i had the same problem, installing psnpatch and using the "Unlock demos & ps2classics" solved it for me. If the other suggested solutions dont work try it, maybe it'll do the trick for you.

sorry but he is on ofw, can't use brews on that. He needs to do as habib suggested.

When you say the activation part, you mean activating my system? Using proxy?
I'll try resigning the rif again.

Turns out it was an activation issue after all.
I didn't know PS1 and PSP worked without the activation.
I got it activated and now it's working fine.
