Hello, yes - as strange it may sound, that's exactly what happens.
I've tried regular retroarch, retroarch CE made via ps3 community and this updated version with more cores and pink icon. All works ok yet after some time, sometimes one day, sometimes 1 month - i run retroarch from XMB and it goes back to XMB menu.
My solution so far is to backup my .cfg, history, savegames and remaps via FTP; remove retroarch, install it once again and move my files back.
Yet, it is a bit pain in the a**, therefore I would like to know why is it even happening? And is there any solution to it. I have plenty of space on my HDD, all games from HDD works without a problem and none of them seems to have any kind of issues. Therefore i do not think it is hardware problem, I mean hdd being old etc. (actually it is old but works well and quiet).
Hopefully someone can help me a bit here. Happy to provide any files that can help to trace the problem if needed.
