PS3 Slim 2504A got it used 2016 and it's been hassle free since it just stopped working a couple years ago, when press pws I get green light for half a second then it turns off, when I press it again it goes back to standby. I opened it up and noticed that the bottom board cover bent next to the cpu, I forgor to take a picture of it but it starts from the screw on the right.

It was also grinding on the ground circle underneath so I know it was super tight. I checked everything on the board and everything is super clean with no sign of faulty component, I also checked vaules with meter and all is good. Here I got syscon error code, all I could get is that it's a system error.

I also ran powerstate command and got everything off except WLAN...

What in gods name? I think this is a brand new error code.

I'm guessing here but 1B01 could indicate a short of some component. Specifically a component that was around where the shield bent

I know i am almost 2 months late but can you send photos of the area around the board where the shield was bent and also a side on view of the shield

Didn't expect a reply but I sent it to a repair shop and it turns out it's the cpu, the error code indicates a general system error and what I guess happened is the pressure effected the cpu and now it needs rebelling which may or may not fix it and for the price it's not really worth it. I may attempt it myself with a heat gun and some good flux but for now it's just sitting there. Thanks for the reply!

Now hold on, can you do something for me, try doing powersw and/or bringup and then post that here. I don't see this often and want to see the bringup on this.

Right that's interesting then. Might have to try my own sabotage tests on a sacrifice CECH30 console to see if i can reproduce it.
