Stuck on 4.84 with PS3HEN 2.2.2, how do i get up to-date?

I haven't used my PS3 in a long time, but I have been wanting to to update it ever since HFW 4.85 came out months ago so i could play online, but i never did.

I went to the page where it had a MEGA link with the update file, i renamed it, and plopped it back on my USB, and wheni go to update via storage media, it just reads it as a 4.84 update file (which i am on, currently(. Am I doing something wrong? Do I HAVE to update to 4.85 normally, then do this? Are all the current homebrew apps working on 4.85, like the PS2 emulator, multiman, irisman, etc?

4.85.1 HFW Download

MD5: c6632994c04d0ed8c555091f3fde9bbb

Install that, then go to **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) on your PS3 and use the HEN auto installer URL to install the latest HEN pkg.

I renamed it to PS3UPDAT.PUP and i get this, is this normal even though its not the right firmware?

No it's not normal. It sounds like you have 4.84.2 on your USB drive. or another USB drive with 4.84 on it in your PS3. make sure you have a clean formatted USB drive, FAT32 MBR, then copy that file to it as usb:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

Okay, that was my mistake, forgot i had to do that.
Installed it just fine, but i am having problems with the hen installer, with the normal and alternative way.
Once it finishes its initialization, it fails, i have tried both ways like i said, and restarted a couple times. Browser confirm close is also off.

Set the installer URL as homepage in the browser, then close and re-open the browser in between each attempt.

If you use Wifi it will be take lots more attempts or maybe not work at all. Use a wired connection.

More attempts? did something happen with 4.85 where it doesn't work that well on wifi?

It might take a few attempts to succeed. PS3xploits have never really been reliable on wifi or bad connections, if it worked well for you on wifi before it was probably luck.

Setting it as homepage increases the chances a lot, using a wired connection increases the chances more, hosting the xploit on a local server increases the chances even more.

If you are having trouble, As far as i know the alternate 2nd HEN installer URL has more chance of working.
