PS2 [Testers Needed] OPL internal exfat 2TB+ HDD and multi-BDM devices

I have a problem with Onimusha 2, any version (PAL, NTSC and hack undub). After the first video in which they introduce the protagonists, the screen goes black and doesn't work anymore. Said video can be skipped by pressing start and the game continues as normal, but much later in the game (the airship) there is a video sequence that cannot be skipped and also the screen stays fixed, this time white.
I have tried almost every combination of Modes 1 to 6, but nothing works.
I finished this game sometime in old OPL, and I can't find information about bugs except old graphical bugs already fixed. I don't think anyone else (using OPL main fork) has this problem.
I am using OPL_v1.2.0.6-1996. Internal 4 terabyte disk, and it seems that there are no problems with disk compatibility (the first Onimusha finished it without a single crash or bug)
It is defragmented.
To reproduce this bug, simply start Onimusha 2 and watch the introductory video. After the scene where Jubei runs through a rain forest, the scene ends, it goes black and there is no more response from the game. However, the IGR works

I have the same bug. I haven't played the game for more than an hour, so I thought skipping the intro solved the problem. I tried different combinations of modes 1-6 but for me also does not work. So there are two of us. I never finished Onimusha 2 so I hope for a fix.

Edit1. OK @dukejp . Try to use modes 1, 3 and 6. The game after the intro moved on to gameplay, but you have to wait 1 minute of black screen. Please check how the case looks like with the second video after the airship.

Have you tried old versions of this OPL?
I never updated it to the newest one as I found some games stopped working in a newer version

Ok, tomorrow I'll try each of the versions (there aren't many), and I'll post the results. I have only tested the last 3 versions

Hi, just set up OPL recently and it's been working quite well so far, DVD games work great and I've not run into any gameplay issues that didn't have some workaround. However, for some reason none of my CD games are showing up despite being in the correctly labeled folder. Is it because they're in .bin/.cue format? I see inconsistent reports saying that you either need them all to be in .iso format or that .bin/.cue should just work out of the box. I'm currently using the v1.2.0.6-1996 beta on a FMCB memory card, running the games off a Seagate 1TB ST1000DM003 SATA Hard Drive installed into an NTSC-J SCPH-39000 RC fat PS2 using a SATA modded Official Network Adaptor. Also worth noting is a small portion of my DVD isos aren't on the list, specifically games like Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence (all 3 discs, Japanese version) and the second disc to beatmania IIDX 11 RED.

I have never used bin/cue, because converting them is very simple. Just convert them with Winbin2iso program (select the bin and you get the iso)

Hello everyone, I have a question. If I plug 2 pendrives (both of them 64gb, I used opl manager to create the folders, and I converted the 4gb+ games with usb util. I formatted the pendrives with rufus) into my slim ps2, and I want to play a game from the 2nd pendrive, it shows me white screen. I used the 1.2.x beta version (I think it was 1.2.6), which I have downloaded from the github link. What should I do? If I select a game from the 1st pendrive, it loads the game normally.

I tried each of the versions, with modes 1, 3 and 6 activated (also deactivated), and nothing worked even waiting for 3 minutes. I tried other things like disabling the VMC and it didn't work either.
I got bored of trying over and over again, I'll wait for a new version if it brings a fix

You can use exfat formatted pen drives with this OPL from what I remember. No need to use usbutil anymore

there is a bug everytime i enter the opl settings and return to game list there are no games. i use internal exfat hdd, and i have to reboot opl to see again games

@grimdoomer, with development winding down, are you still going to be working on implementing FHDB into your OPL (or however you were thinking of getting something akin to it working)?

I have a fatty here that's not happy with memory cards (even after bending the pins out and it working perfectly...for a day). The less of this old hardware I have to use, the better.

Even if you don't, thank you SO F*N MUCH for making it NOT a PITA to transfer games anymore!

Small rant... LEARN TO USE THE SEARCH TOOLS AND STOP ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS PEOPLE! Even better, just read the 18 pages of this thread, it's nothing compared to the 600+ for PicoFly on gbaTemp XD

@dukejp send me his save file and for me Onimusha 2 SLUS_20393 also doesn't work. Game freeze in about 4/5 of a gameplay on airship crush cutscene ( , on scene in 5:12:52 of this walkthrough).

Screen is going white and another scene doesnt load. I upload dukejp's save file in raw ps2 folder and in .psu file. Maybe @grimdoomer will add some fix or maybe someone will find a solution to this.
