PS3 The data is corrupted 8002f2c5 when updating in safe mode 4.92.1

Hello, I use a Super Slim PS3 and I recently updated to 4.92(OFW) after being on 4.91HFW and recently I've stumbled upon an issue just like in the title when I try installing 4.92.1 HFW from safe mode (no applicable data when trying normally) VIA USB. Now, dont get me wrong, I've tried countless of times doing anything I could find on YT but to no avail. It could be a USB flash drive issue, since it often corrupts data there. But this time everything goes smooth, I can add and remove files from it safely on pc no issue whatsoever. Soon as I try it as a FAT32 formatted USB it gives me those errors ONLY on the ps3. Please help
 
Hi, I had similar problems with my PS3 in the past when updating it. Try using another USB flash drive (preferably USB 2.0), i have many flash drives that don't work with the PS3....

Will do, chief. I actually thought about this before posting, but I always am aware that ppl on this website know wayy more than me on this topic.

Curious question, is your PS3 controller plugged to the console itself or it connecting thru wireless/bluetooth?

Usually, when my PS3's have issues reading system updates on the flash drive or PKGs, what I typically do is unplug the PS3 controller before installing the update/PKGs, usually that works.
 
This error code I think it means the update is the wrong firmware version for ur current version.The USB stick should be ok
 
Check the folder structure and the flash drive must be in MBR, newer and bigger flash drives is in GPT, so you need to reformat it with the right table
