Please is a ps3 game folder converted to pkg compatible with the extractorSigning a PKG is not required. All files are unpacked on PS3 without any loss.
You do not sign the game, but only the installation PKG.
Simply unsigned PKGs need to be installed from under the HAN -> Debug Package mode or on CFW as usual.
A signed PKG must be placed from under the HAN -> Han Enable mode, but such a PKG is not installed on the CFW.
That's the whole difference.
But PSN games still need to be run when HAN Enable is activated.
That is, if you installed unsigned PKG naturally in the HAN -> Debug Package mode, then to start the game you must switch to the HAN Enable mode, and you must restart the console when changing the mode from Debug Package to HAN Enable. When changing in the reverse order, the console does not need to be rebooted.
yes just unpack the pkg and use pack pkg smaller than 4gb button and make sure that the game have no file bigger than 4gb or it will not splitPlease is a ps3 game folder converted to pkg compatible with the extractor
How much files does your tool make? I'm splitting GTA V and it made ~150 pkg files!
You mean when you split NPEB01807 it make 150pkgs !!! Well i made mine in 2017 in 5 part and one 2.01gb update AIO 1.27 so surely you have problemHow much files does your tool make? I'm splitting GTA V and it made ~150 pkg files!
Have you checked within the same folder in which you are working? Can't remember the exact location.I'm so confused. I keep trying option #1, but after I do step 2, the PKG is nowhere to be found. Where is it????
Yeah, I checked everywhere in the folder and searched all over the drive. I've tried using FTP, but I couldn't find a tutorial I could follow. If there's a good one about HEN, could you point me to it?Have you checked within the same folder in which you are working? Can't remember the exact location.
Either way, are you aware that you can transfer files without problems via FTP by using HEN?
Hi. Sorry for the late answer.Yeah, I checked everywhere in the folder and searched all over the drive. I've tried using FTP, but I couldn't find a tutorial I could follow. If there's a good one about HEN, could you point me to it?

INTRODUCTION:
This tutorial is intended for those who are in OFW and need to install a large PKG via USB. If you are here, it means that you have tested PKG Linker and it has not worked for you, have you? If that's not the case, then go ahead and use PKG Linker, it works flawless for most users!
BACKGROUND:
So, in case that your only option is to work with the USB method (my case, because PKG Linker does not work for me, and my network knowledge is zero in order to configure it), you should notice the following:
1. If the game you are working with have a single file which size is larger than 4GB, then, your chances to split it are very reduced. Check out this post to try your luck. Thanks to sandungas.
2. You need a USB stick / external HDD which file format is FAT32. Google it, in case you do not how to format yours. Be aware that all files and folders will be erased when a drive format takes place.
3. Sometimes, the programs used to repack the PKGs may refuse to pack protected files, which may result in a game malfunction because it needs that file. In only happens to me 2 times, from more than 20 games I have splitted, so ALWAYS pay attentions to the screen console and the messages it types so you are aware of what's happening. If an error takes place, you will be warned. Check out this post for more information.
INSTRUCTIONS:
(METHOD NUMBER 1)
Download PS3GameExtractor_v1.9.1, thanks to ErikPshat.
Usage:
- Unpack a large PKG using the "Unpack PKG" button.
- Split a folder into parts less than 4 GB using the "Split Folder by 4 GB" button.
- Ready to install PKGs you will see in the same folder as the program.
(METHOD NUMBER 2)
Download my Large PKG splitter for OFW assistant. You can see it as an attachment at this post end, or following this link.
Usage:
- Extract the content of PKG_SplitterA_v-0.8.7z to a short patch. I suggest to you: C:\WB\
- Execute "do.cmd", whithin the root you just created.
- Follow the in-screen instructions.
- Notice that this assistant is intended for official PKGs; it may not work with CFW2OFW converted games.
(METHOD NUMBER 3)
Download aldostool's and install it.
Usage:
View attachment 13598
- Once installed, go to the root installation patch, and locate and execute "PKG_ContentID.exe" with administrative privileges at least once.
- As result from the previous step, every time you right-click a PKG file in Windows, a "PKG Tools" option will appear.
- Locate the PKG you want to split and then: right click > PKG Tools > Split PKG. See this example:
And that's it, with the aforementioned you have more than enough to split a PKG in order to install large size games in OFW.
Regards!
