Hello guys,
I'm trying to play a PS2 game on my PS3 and I'm having problems with copyright when trying to run the game. The only games that work okay are the PS2 classics PKGs, that were directly downloaded from the PSN store, but if I try ripping them and playing the ISO it doesn't work, it simply says "media not compatible".
A few details below:
Some things that I tried for the ISOs was encrypting them and mounting from multiMan, which would give me the same error.
Something else that I tried was making a PKG out of them by using PS2 Classics GUI, but now, when I install the PKG, it gives me a copyright error (80029513).
Other things that I tried:

Can anyone help me, please?
The game that I ripped and tried playing was "Castlevania: Curse of Darkness", if that makes a difference.
P.S.: If my only solution is to update to the latest firmware version, I'd like to first be sure if that won't cause any troubles with my console, so I'd really appreciate you guys pointing me toward guides that can show me how to do this update in a way that ensures there are not going to be any (or, at least, minimal) risks involved.

A few details below:
- I have a PS3 Slim CECH-25XX, rocking a Rebug CFW 4.82 CEX Cobra 7.55 (installed back in 2018)
- I have the latest version of Webman MOD installed
- Cobra is activated via Rebug toolbox
- Console is activated via PSN
- I use the "ps3-updatelist.txt" in order to login to the PSN without updating to the latest firmware.

Other things that I tried:
- Tried activating Cobra mode on the XMB.
- Tried deactivating and activating the console via PSN, multiple times.
- Removed "act.dat", rebuilt database and fake activated the console in my current profile via Apolo Save Manager;
- Created a different profile and fake activated it via Apolo
- Added a supposed universal RAP file for PS2 games
Can anyone help me, please?
