I've used translation a bit with this post, if anything sounds off please feel free to point that.
I also couldn't find any thread relatable to my problem, but if you are sure something like that already was asked, I'm happy to read through that thread.
I recently acquired a Bluetooth adapter for my (also recently acquired) PS2 Fat 50003. Adapter plugs into the controller ports and enables wireless connections with gamepads. I tried it with the PSX and it worked seamlessly with both Xbox and PS gamepad. Unfortunately, it's unresponsive on my PS2. The adapter neither pairs nor reacts to button commands. It's powered but seems bricked. For example when I plug it in, lights power up, if I take it out and replug, it's dead. Could it be more of a power problem? I have zero knowledge of electricity and console motherboards but sometimes it feels like there is lack of voltage.
I don't have a PS2 gamepad to fully test the ports, but the PSX gamepad worked in the main menu and the FMCB interface. However, its functionality in games is questionable (wasn't reactive to commands in both Max Payne and Killzone). At first, I suspected the ribbon cable, as it showed signs of wear and damage. I've since replaced it, but the situation remains same. The rest of the PS2 operates without issue, as far as my tests went.
I'm at a loss for solutions. Do you have any suggestions? Is it worth considering a replacement for the gamepad ports? Moreover, would PS2 slim ports be compatible?
Thank you in advance. I'll need some time to test any practical advice, as I'm currently away from home. Also I can provide photos later today if needed.
(I'm polish so if you know the cause, but have problems with english please DM me, or post in polish)
