Nope. No need to downgrade.
Just download the 4.80 CFW you want to install. Ferrox Cobra 4.80 or Rebug REX 4.80.1.
Copy the pup file onto a usb pendrive in fat32.
The path of the file should be in capital letters like this:

PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

The next step is important, don't ignore it or you may lose jailbreak!
Remove any game from the BD drive, unmount any games (iso or JB folder games) & disconnect Internet.

Now insert your usb key in the ps3, go to the xmb settings column & start the system update from storage media feature.
Launch the update.

Voila.... [emoji6]

Choose your CFW well according to your needs!
Don't hesitate to get back to us if you have more queries.

It's impossible to advise a cfw without knowing what you intend to use it for...

Rebug is the most complete/advanced by far with a lot of features.
Ferrox Cobra is simpler.
Check the thread Cobra vs Mamba vs Rebug. You will get useful info there about the systems available to you.
Also the rebug.me website & the Ferrox 4.80 threads.

MultiMAN is no longer the most favoured manager, most people use webMAN-MOD as their daily driver.
MultiMAN needs to be installed. All brews can be downloaded from store.brewology.com.
WebMAN-MOD updater pkg can be downloaded from github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases/tag/1.43.33.

What versions are we talking about here?
CFW version? Toolbox version?

I will assume you are talking about the latest releases...

If you install Rebug 4.80.1 CFW, the Rebug Toolbox 02.02.10 pkg is waiting for installation in the package manager.
If you install it, in the second column called Selector, you should enable Cobra then webman. The toggle option is at the bottom of this second column.

I suggest you read the Rebug release page carefully. It's what all Rebug users should do before installing the CFW!

http://rebug.me/official-rebug-4-80-1-cobra-7-3-toolbox-2-02-10-may-2016/

As for psp games, make sure Cobra is enabled in the Toolbox.
You need it for webMAN-MOD, for PS2/PSP games support, for ISO support......

Yes I installed the latest releases of rebug cfw and rebug toolbox.but there's no option on enabling webman.but before I updated to rebug, there's already a webman installed.webman is still at the xmb but there's no option to enable it.can you please give me the right settings for thethe selector column? And should i choose dex on the debug menu type? Thank you very much!

are you sure you didn't already have rebug toolbox installed? An old version maybe, If you think this is possible you can press triangle on the toolbox and delete it, and then go to package manager and install the toolbox again from system storage. Just to be sure you have the latest version. Even if you are sure you installed latest version , installing it again might help if it somehow got corrupted (unlikely).

If you still don't have the "toggle Webman" option in second column then you could try reinstall Rebug 4.80, its possible (but unlikely) the toolbox is not seeing the FW as Rebug FW due to some corruption, and has disabled some of the options for safety.

Wow! My webman now works!! But the enable webman option is still missing.. But its still loading the games ok! Strange... But at least its now working! I just chose rebug on system mode and cex qa and reboot! It now works!! Thanks for all your help guys!

Thats good its working. There is still an underlying issue though that will probably come up again, possibly in some other way.

If it does, Worst case scenario a FW reinstall and then a Toolbox reinstall should sort out most problems like this.

Sounds as. If you have an old version of toolbox and you're running webMAN off root through bootplugins.txt I would still update toolbox if I we're unless you're OK with broken functions

Edit: nvm. they are stored on hdd of course.

@mykroque1617 are you sure you have actually fully completed the update to Rebug 4.80 and installed the new toolbox?

It sounds messy to me....

Missing entries in Toolbox?
Webman obviously starting now that Cobra is enabled but probably loading via boot_plugins.txt... No idea which version...
Can you tell us the webman version? Just open the setup page & report the version number at top of the page.
Is it written webMAN-MOD or webMAN-MOD Rebug MOD?

I am not sure whether to give you steps to try to get things working or tell you to reinstall everything..... There could be other things that don't work & aren't as obvious....
Let's see what you report first...

Also you are asking about enabling the DEX menu, the menu NOT the mode, right? ...
You can, no problem, but it's not really a priority just now...
What you must enable is Rebug Mode in the Selector column because you will need the option.
Remember that some options require a console reboot to be activated...

After full reinstall, go to the package manager & install the Toolbox which is already there.
Launch the Toolbox.
In the selector column:
Enable Cobra, webman, xmb cfw settings.
Change system mode to Rebug Mode.

Leave everything else alone.

Exit the Toolbox & the console should restart.
Now go to the webman section in XMB, look for the setup shortcut & launch it.

You need to configure webMAN-MOD properly.
You should also update webMAN-MOD to the latest 1.43.33 version.

Refer to the webMAN-MOD General Information thread where all necessary info can be found.

Something wrong happened in your previous installation, am not sure what..
Well now it works.. Good [emoji5]️

About webMAN-MOD setup, have you read the last part of my last post #18?
Read the extensive OP of the webMAN-MOD thread & the posts, there's all the required info already there. Reading & testing is the way to learn! Ideally you should already have taken the time to read up about the Rebug CFW you just installed, on rebug.me!

To update webMAN-MOD, first choose the best edition for your needs.. Read the edition comparison part in that thread.
Download the updater from aldostools github, install it via the package manager then run it. Keep pressing the L1 button while you run it & until it reboots to get the full wMM edition, do whatever else for other editions as instructed.
After update, check everything is OK then you can delete the webMAN-MOD updater.

All is explained in that OP so just take your time, be patient & test away... Ask when in doubt.

After installing, most important is to set the dynamic fan control with correct parameters according to your own console. You want to keep the CPU between 62 & 68 degrees roughly... Tweak the temperature also according to fan noise.. [emoji6]
The other wMM settings in the setup page depend largely on what features you want to use so read about the features first then decide...

If you use a ntfs external hdd to store your iso games (which is the way I would recommend) you will also need to use prepNTFS to scan the ntfs drive before the webMAN-MOD games list can show them. A usb external hdd is better than internal hdd to store the iso, you will get better performance this way.
Only a few operations (updating, dumping, external Gamedata...) require a fat32 drive so you should also keep a usb fat32 pendrive handy. However fat32's limitations makes the storage of isos problematic because most games are over the 4Gb file size limit. That's partly why Ntfs is a better choice for iso games storage. (note that the isos should always be placed in a folder named PS3ISO (in capital letters).
Note that external usb drives with several partitions are generally not recognised properly.

Btw don't connect to PSN without using psnpatch or you will get banned.
You can download & read the release notes of psnpatch on store.brewology.com.
There's also a psnpatch thread you should visit!

Hi another question, how can i play ps2 iso games?
Yes.
Just mount them & launch them just like you would with a PS3 game. Cobra takes care of everything.
You will need to create a virtual memory card.
Of course place the iso files in their appropriate folder PS2ISO.
Remember that all PS2 titles are not compatible with emulation so check the compatibility list thread.
