PS3 USB headset

Hello !
I have an usb headset (HS60 pro surround), and i plug it into usb port of my CECHG04 ps3, i can hear myself when i test it on settings>accessory>audio
But when i validate my settings, the audio is still in my TV. I can not find where is the option to force the audio on my headset. I am on 4.91 CEX, cobra 8.5, XAI 1.15.
Any one can help me please ?
 
Afaik, a headset on the PS3 is just for online communication unless you use a patch, which I think is part of @Evilnat , but it has to be enabled. Unfortunately, the audio quality is supposed to be poor.
 
Hi Charles_n_town, i tried to plug my headset with jack into my dualshock 4 but still dont have game sound. Where can i find the audio patch to install it manualy in my cfw ?
 
I don't know where it's at in evilnat, but I think cfw settings is in the network column. I'm thinking it's named libaudio, but like I said, the audio quality is supposed to be poor. I haven't personally tested it though, so I don't know how poor.

Someone on facebook told me to install "ultimate toolbox", i installed it, then i go on firmware settings > toggle Audio to Headset > Enable Headset Audio Patch.

Now i can hear game sound very well, in very good quality ! Thank you very much.
 
Only original sony headset can play audio. These day go for ps4 gold. They work on ps3 also. Dont buy ps4 titanium they dont work on ps3.

Hi, i solved my problem! You just need to install "ultimate toolbox", then go to firmware settings (in ultimate toolbox) > toggle Audio to Headset > Enable Headset Audio Patch. I am actually playing games with sound in usb on my HS60 pro surround! And the quality is very good!
 
oh, I didn't realize. it would explain why the patch works at all (think the patch is for any headset). I wonder if the pulse headset or earphones work or if it's only for headsets meant for the ps3? I have the sony, pulse headset for my ps5, and the earphones for the portal. the earphones have superb sound, but they're expensive at $200. they're getting ready to release a midnight black set of the earphones, headset, edge controller, and ps portal on the 24th or somewhere around then. I got the edge controller preordered, since I collect controllers for my systems.
