Today i brought a second hand AC III LIBERATION for the Vita System

And I though that the Graphics were okay but not good ( blurried)

And i set it to the vita's resolution via VitaGrafix ( it can be set higher, turning on AA and etc)

This is the Result

Since the results are really good and looks even greater than the screenshots on the vita's screen

I was wondering since we can overclock ( in theory) the PS3 gpu ( the actual rsx is downclocked) via syscon/lv1, in the XCG settings as @M4j0r stated, If we can do a similar way in the PS3 to get better graphics ( maybe closer to 1080p, since some vita games can be set to resolutions even highter than it's resolution) by Changing it's internal resolution and overclocking it's gpu/cpu to get more fps)

The screenshot shows that the normal fps is higher than the increased one.

By default the game will runs 22~27 fps, i just emoved the 30fps cap and overclocked the gpu, so it can maintain at least 35-40 fps

With the resolution increased it will keep 25~30, so it is not a problem and the benefits are way better

We can overclock the RSX?

Yes, if someone wants to reverse engineer this. Sony actually changed the rsx clock between firmware 0.85 and 0.90 so the easiest approach would be to compare lv1 and the syscon firmware corresponding to these firmwares.

PS3 has much more potencial for plugins than vita, its a shame that we don't have this kind of people on the scene, just psp and vita .

We could have also many xmb modifications, just like psp, mine ones is ported from psp to ps3

So I did some research on the RSX clock change and it's quite interesting.
If you downgrade both the PS3 fw and Syscon fw to 0.85, the clock won't change. It still matches the retail clock and it's not underclocked.
But on systems which have never been updated to 0.90 or newer the clock is slower on 0.85.
Lv1 also contains some references to a "rsx eeprom", so my theory is that either lv1 or the Syscon fw change the RSX clock value in that eeprom and if you downgrade it's not changed back.
