If not, is there any other other way to do this? Thanks.

@aldostools Is there a tutorial? I am familiar with hex editors (particularly HxD).
Am I looking for a certain pattern in the SFO or just a specific offset?
I saw a page on psdev but no tutorial was associated with it.
@alodostools
I finally figured it out by adding /sysbgm.ps3 to the custom combo R2 Square on the wMM Setup. Still getting freezes when enabling or exiting certain games.
Some games tested:
LEGO The Hobbit: Freezes on enable.
Super Mario 64 Homebrew Port: Works but freezes when exiting even when disabled.
Sonic CD: Freezes on enable.
@aldostools
I think I "may" have found the issue.
It also works on Skyrim LE, until you try exiting
I think it may be somehow clearing some of wMM commands from RAM. I had an idea that maybe using the combo
to disable CFW Syscalls might stop the freezing if enabled after disabling the BGM enable option.
So I tried to with the button combo. And nothing happened. I have tried to exit after disabling music with the impose menu
and the "quit game" XMB option and still it freezes.
@Berion
Already did that a while back with most of my games.

Open up webMAN MOD settings and go down to the button combo area.
There will be a blank area that says custom with R2 and Square as the combo.
In the empty area put this "/sysbgm.ps3" without the quotations.
Save settings (and restart PS3?)
Then after the game boots bring up the XMB and hold R2 and Square. Shortly afterwards it should tell you that background music is enabled. It can also be disabled with this combo as well.
@aldostools says that it need to be disabled before exiting the game.
/sysbgm.ps3 is a wMM web command, you can refer to the dedicated wMM Web commands thread OP or wMM documentation for details about the various available web commands, their possible arguments & required syntax.Also, have you tried trying disabling the command via browser on phone or PC?
And that's it? Just apply this command? No editing or something?

Interesting, what is direct booting though? Sorry I'm new to the scene so I would like to know.@Ezzio11
I have only tried it on the PS3 itself.
And the most stable way to play music is by direct booting them (if it works on that particular game) with multiMAN.
The sad news of all of this is that MS allegedly had a patent on playing custom background music in games. It works nearly flawless on the 360. It even mutes the game music when you play background music and usually only cuts out when an fmv or cutscene is playing.
Though the bad thing about the 360 is music can only be transferred to the system via ripping it from a CD (or maybe downloaded, which I never did). Sony was much better in regard to allowind custom media to be transferred via USB or even a data disc.
On the 360 you can play music from a usb drive but it can take a while longer to access and display the music to play it. It also seems to have issues with some of my m4a's that work fine on my Android and PS3. I think it used to work better but after an update MS made playing music from usb more irritating.
@bguerville
"Playing music requires system resources including RAM & SPU access"
And I am guessing that lower bitrate and maybe sample rate music would be less stressful on the system. When Skyrim starts stuttering, the music will sometimes stop momentarily.
And I understand why: Reading and writing to the same device at the same time (in this case the hdd) can cause too much I/O load.
Interesting, what is direct booting though? Sorry I'm new to the scene so I would like to know.
Also have you tried this in-game menu? I tried installing it but no luck idk why, it supposedly plays music from HDD in game

@aldostools said the enable bgm feature in multiMAN is based on that plugin.
I said bgm feature in "webMAN MOD" is based on the mysis' PoC plugin code.
