webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

In English via G-Trad :

It's not really a concern that the behavior of the combo is done like this but, at home for example, I don't have any additional message indicating the version of webMAN and the edition on my console in CFW, I only have the first post. I have to do the "Start+Select" combo to get the "popup" of the running version.
Also, I don't do the L1+"R2"+Triangle combo as you say, but the L1+"R1"+Triangle combo. Which is the right combo???
Don't remove this feature because it has its uses. It is enough only that the message announces the "Full" or "Lite" version as soon as these are "mounted" via the combo, only that.
Thank you for your great kindness, sympathy towards me.
I will check later how the messages are displayed when the plugin is switched. Maybe it happens on HEN. I don't remember having the issue that you're reporting.

The R2 was a typo. The combo is L1+R1+Triangle

@aldostools

I forgot and haven't checked how many plugins cobra/mamba can load but webman has 6 slots, can it be increased ? Currently we have 14 plugins available
If you load the plugin through /gameplugin.ps3mapi you can load more plugins in VSH process

No, this problem only occurs on my machine compatible with CFW in "REBUG-4.84.2/REX-Cobra-8.3". Those under HEN-3.1.1 do not allow alternating passage from the Full version (the one installed) to the Lite version, there is emission of two fast bits during the combo but no real change.

when i enable FPS by L3+R3 my ps3 freezes. my firmware is latest rebug 4.84 can this cause that problem?

In my opinion Rebug 4.84.2, Rebug 4.86 and Evilnat 4.88.2 are the most stable CFW for webMAN MOD.

The freeze is a bug in VshFpsCounter.sprx that seems to be related to the internal scanning/display of CPU/RSX clock speeds.

Try updating to the latest build of webMAN MOD using the online updater.
If the problem persists, I suggest that avoid to use the FPS display until the bug is fixed.

You can report about that bug in @TheRouLetteBoi 's github

hi aldo, I can't change the debug setting in dex mode, I'm in 4.89 evinlat, by chance I have to use a rebug update or does it also work on evilnat 4.89? (google translate)

the latest DEX files available are 4.84 versions. that means that DEX settings will not work on 4.85 and above.

Some questions to ask
1. Do you plan to include a hardware flasher that is tested on HEN from 25xx or lower via WebMAN MOD?
2. Is there also an ETA for @Evilnat 's unofficial REBUG REX 4.84 with new Custom Firmware tools?

1. I already released the source code for a software flasher in wMM. However the binary requires to be released by someone else that have tested it in several scenarios, to prevent bricking consoles.

2. Evilnat haven't been active on PS3 for months. The last year he released his unofficial REBUG 4.84 with Cobra 8.3 privately to beta testers, but I don't have further information. DeViL303 released another unofficial REBUG 4.84 with Cobra 8.3 beta+CFW Tools mods by Evilnat. None is officially released or haven't been updated lately.

Any chance that I can try out the new unofficial REBUG by DeViL303?

I got a FAT CECHL PS3 which seems to be working flawlessly after flashing with PS3 Toolset then I installed REBUG on it after I installed Evilnat 4.89

i think THIS is the latest evilnat 4.84.3 but @LuanTeles knows which one it is for sure.

install the pkg while you have a usb device connected to right-hand usb slot. the pup will be copied to the usb. then you can delete the pup.

Tried installing it on REBUG but it is greyed out and gives me an error when installing
Yes I converted to DEX

Do you know which folder is the untested hardware flasher?

I'm interested in this hardware flasher and would like to try it.

Sorry, there was a typo, in my post I mean "software flasher" instead of "hardware flasher".
If you don't have a hardware flasher, I prefer to don't tell you since it could brick your console.

The feature is commited in github. So if you are an experienced developer you should find it easily.
In the code it's commented out, and should be uncommented ONLY if you have a hardware flasher to test it. I released that code only for research & learning purposes, not for regular users.

If you need a software flasher, I highly recommend you that wait until bgtoolset is available.
If your console is on 4.84 or lower, you can follow this video, but again I recommend you that wait until bgtoolset is available.

In case I was not clear enough: WAIT UNTIL BGTOOLSET IS AVAILABLE.

PRO TIP: The code should be debugged first on NOR consoles. NAND consoles should be tested later when the code for NOR is fully certified as bug-free.

Okay. I already flashed it like months ago just was curious. Probably best if I leave it to the pros since I have no way of recovery yet.

Hi everyone!
I'm a proud owner of a PS3 Super Slim, I got Hen working on 4.89 ok. Anyway, to cut a long story short, Multiman is running fine, but I have hit the limit of my 1TB HD with around 90 games, so I started looking for ways of loading Disc images from my raspberry PI.

As Multiman does not support serving of games in "folder" format, via ps3netsrv (which I compiled and got it running on my Raspberrypi), after browsing a bit, I stumbled upon your great WebmanMod! Great work indeed, however I am now facing some problems...Webman freezes my ps3 quite often....typically I am unable to play more than 1 title without having to force-shutdown the ps3, going through the tedious process of "checking the filesystem", rebooting, enabling Hen again....

Mostly, I am having errors when trying to mount games from ps3netsrv, sometimes it works...sometimes it simply says that the Game is corrupt and could not mount..sometimes, it simply freezes....

Do you have any tips or hints, on what could be causing the freezes/crashes?

PS: Both the PS3 and RaspberryPi are connected via ethernet to the router, so link speed should not be an issue...actually, I managed to play a lot of titles....but had to reboot multiple times to get each running....

Many thanks again for all your hard-work,
Cheers,
Gizmo

Odd.. I've never had these problems with HEN and webman, did you read the logs?
Also you might should use filezilla for ftp (if they have a build for a raspberry pi)
I highly recommend USB for uncorrupted data (with at least 32/64 GB)
