webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

Hello, I have used webMAN MOD with PS3 4K Pro, and it is amazing. There is just one feature I would like to request:
  • automation
It would be great if there was an addon that allows you to make and run automation flows and schedule flows. I would love to have music play automatically on HEN startup. (turned on XMB media autoplay, but music won't start)

Thank you, and I hope to see this feature be added in a future version of webMAN.

webMAN MOD 1.47.47i is out!

I am having an issue, but i don't know how to solve it. I am trying to connect to webman mod through ip, on both my phone and pc.

I am using adguard dns on all my systems. android phone/ pc / ps3.

My ps3 has a static ip with the following settings

IP address 192.168.1.31
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1
Preferred DNS 94.140.14.14
Alternate DNS 94.140.15.15

but neither my phone or PC, sees it through Opera browser, neither any FTP programs. WinSCP for windows, X-Plore for android.

My biggest issue is that i always had the same settings and browsers and it worked for up until last month or so.

I am currently on 4.91.3 beta 1 but i had the same issue on 4.91.2 and on rebug lite 4.86.

I alos uninstalled any webman release prior to .47k, deleted wmm folders through multiman, but the issue is still there. Any help would be appreciated

Where is 1.47.47l?

I skipped the L version because I didn't want it to be confused with version 1.47.471

The following changes can be considered as "1.47.47l"
- Fixed typo in `setup.h` module making duplicated form settings in "Wait additionally for each selected USB device to be ready".
- Added Web Apps Links installers to webMAN MOD Update menu.
- Fixed a bug in some Web Apps packages using https
- Added Web Apps for Reload XMB
- Renamed new clock command to /fixclock.ps3 to avoid conflict with the existing /clock.ps3 command

Hi there!

EDIT: I tried to restore and create the database through the PS3 Security boot, but nothing happened. So I tried to remove PS3 4K Pro and Webman MOD—they were still there. So I guess there's some issue with PS3 4K Pro itself, not with Webman MOD. Now I have installed PS3 4K Pro again, and Webman MOD is still there. So, problem solved. :cool2:

---------------------------------

Recently, I've been having a problem with Webman MOD. It simply disappeared from my PS3, and I don't know why. A few days ago (maybe a month), this happened, and I saw that there was an update available. So, I downloaded and installed it, and the bug stopped. But now it has happened again. There's no update available, and I tried reinstalling it. The installation completed normally, but it didn't work—no options appear, as if it wasn't installed.

I have HFW 4.91 (HEN) with PS3 4K Pro Lite Version 5.5 installed.

Does anyone know what happened and how to fix it?

@aldostools, if possible, for prep iso and webman, I have a split external hdd that have exfat on one half and fat32 on another half, but after I run prep Iso and refresh webman, nothing new shows in webman listing. I have read that NTFS works in this way with webman, but why not exfat? Irisman can see with exfat manager, but I would like Webman to be able to see split partition so I can watch movies off of external split hdd from the exfat side, and use fat32 for ps3 stuff. Is this possible to fix/do?

Before when stand alone webman read exfat no issue. With split hdd it dont want to. Iranman reads and shows, but cannot play movies from. Webman played movies by mounting and it worked. I need this to work again for a split partitioned external hdd fat32/exfat if able basically.

Just spotted a possible regression bug last night so thought of posting about it here.
I manage an external hdd via FTP using WebmanMOD built in web-server, last night when trying to upload a file from my PC to the external hdd hooked up to the PS3 (gigabit LAN connection) it kept failing immediately and FlashFXP stopped responding.
Retried a few times and got the same behavior, decided to check the notes of the 1.47.47 and 1.47.48 releases on Github and noticed that there were some changes and fixes that relate to FTP code.

I was on latest version since I decided to update to Evilnat latest release, once reverting back to 1.47.46 the issue disappeared.
Perhaps someone should try to replicate the issue using Filezilla to confirm that's indeed a WebmanMOD issue.
Just thought of letting you guys know, I'm sure a lot of of folks like me still use their CFW PS3 for multimedia purposes.

A huge thank you to Aldo, Evilnat and everyone still contributing to the awesome PS3 scene.
Cheers.

Thank you for your bug report. I would be nice if you could double check if reinstalling the version 1.47.48 the issue happens again.

Also, the recommended FTP Client for webMAN MOD is FileZilla. So it would be helpful if you also test with that client.

I can handle the issue here if you don't have a Github account. However it's easier to track the issues there.

Just took some time this Sunday to try your suggestions, reinstalled 1.47.48 and on FileZilla it doesn't even list the folders of my external hdd, it spits this error:
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

On FlashFXP if I first list the internal hdd, then list the external it populates the list of folders jut fine but fails to transfer anything.
FileZilla error might indicate the new qsort code could be breaking something? (Just guessing).
Anyway, I took a peek at the issues thread on Github and someone else had a similar problem and already created an entry.
Hope it helps, thanks again Aldo and everyone still involved with the scene.
Cheers.

It could be some setting in webMAN MOD or FileZilla. Or maybe your firewall is blocking some ports that prevent the data connection in FTP. You could try switching between active and passive modes.

Look this is a directory listing using webMAN MOD 1.47.48. I doubt your issue is related to qsort.

I think you misunderstood me, Aldo.
The issue I encountered is only for external hdds (mine is NTFS), for the internal hdd everything is fine.

Thank you for your comments. I could reproduce your issue and I think it's now fixed in the build 1.47.48a.
http://ps3.aldostools.org/webMAN_MOD_latest.pkg

Please check it and confirm if it solved the issue accessing the NTFS storage devices through FTP.
Just downloaded and tested your latest build and at first I thought my hdd had died on me, it took a couple of restarts and three power cycles of the drive to get it to show up, but once it did I can confirm I was able to successfully transfer a file to it.
Could your recent changes affect the devices/content scan? Usually within a single restart or power cycle I get it to show, but I'll stay on 1.47.48a and observe how it behaves.
Congrats on such a fast fix, may I ask what was causing the bug?

Cheers and thank you.

The issue was caused by a sanity check added to the file function isDir() in 1.47.47. The check was ensuring that directory paths started with /. However in FTP the CWD command uses relative paths which doesn't start with /. This prevented the FTP client change the current working directory in NTFS devices. The fix was remove that check and make some additional adjustments to accept relative paths on dev_ntfs.
