It is not easy to add more groups. Indeed to add the sub-groups to ROMS category was a challenge.
FIRMWARE/MUSIC/PICTURE/PKG/VIDEO stored in exFAT/NTFS are stored in BD & DVD folder.
You can add a new category if you add the file wm_custom.xml to the root of USB or internal HDD.
Customize that file to your needs.
Thank you for the reply @aldostools. I will indeed give the wm_custom.xml a whirl. I'm new to this so I might be asking some questions lol. I was actually looking at your github for examples and trying to see how you did it all. I was hoping it would be something like editing the .xml's and not having to change the main.c for anything. I'm a newbie when it comes to programming tho so I doubt I'd be able to do anything in the main.c is why I asked here. And since I am a newbie, I'll most likely have trouble with the .xml's as well lol. But I'm willing to try at least.
You mentioned, "FIRMWARE/MUSIC/PICTURE/PKG/VIDEO stored in exFAT/NTFS are stored in BD & DVD folder," is there any reason it doesn't populate it via network? Should it? Is something wrong on my end? Everything else populates over network.
I personally only use the network feature. None of my external hard drives seem to work with exFAT/NTFS on the PS3. I've spent the last four days reading and trying different things to get webman MOD to recognize them and nothing's worked. So, I gave up on it and decided to use network only since it seemed to work right out the shoot. Plus, I find it to be more convenient, for me at least, having everything on my PC.
Also while I'm here typing this, I can't for the life of me get my Sega roms to populate. I'm assuming it's a folder naming issue but I've tried GEN/GENISIS/MEGAD and it doesn't seem to want to populate my Sega roms. Any information on this also will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for the reply.
Edit: I forgot about the Movian question I had. From what I've been reading, does Movian only directly launch videos created by RetroArch? I was looking at "_Projects_/wm_url_launcher/main.c" and seen that launching movian.self is in there and the extentions for media files are also listed. Would be a nice addition to launch Movian directly from XMB when selecting a media file from webman MOD.
One last thing, would you rather I post my questions/requests to your github rather than here? Just curious which you'd prefer and what you keep an eye on more.
