webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

Hello @aldostools

In English via G-Trad (aucune confiance) :

My friend, could you check some features of "webMAN MOD v1.47.34" because it is not working well for me.

I just installed it (PS3 CECH4204C - HFW-4.86.1 / HEN-3.0.1) this morning and I'm already noticing issues :
- the first, when I run the function "Refresh my XML & XMB games"; the function is started, the XML is refreshed but the "Reload XMB" function is not started, so no refreshed XMB. It was perfect with rev 1.47.33.
- the second: I launched "ps3netserver" latest updated version (which I have been using for a long time), I validated (checked) the "Scan contents via the network" function in "webMAN MOD" and it does nothing, it does not scan anything. The check mark remains activated.
You should know that if I run the mmCM, it scans and finds my games installed in the "server" PC. This mmCM is the one modified by "Joonie" to be able to function under the HEN.

I have not tested other functionality.

Could you fix these problems please ...

Thank you for your feedback. I just verified both features in CFW (I don't use HEN) and they are working properly.

For reload XMB, try reinstalling RELOADXMB. You may need to restart the console to let webMAN detect it.

For ps3netsrv, please check in /setup.ps3 that the IP address of the remote server is correct and it is enabled (check marked)

If you want you could try this test build (it is the same as the official release plus the &fixed option discussed in the thread)

Installation refaite du "Reload_XMB" et le rechargement automatique du XMB après son rafraîchissement ne se fait toujours pas sous ma configuration HFW-4.86.1/HEN-3.0.1 (PS3 de modèle CECH-4204C).

Installation redone of the "Reload_XMB" and the automatic reloading of the XMB after its refresh is still not done under my HFW-4.86.1 / HEN-3.0.1 configuration (PS3 model CECH-4204C).

Does it happen if you install 1.47.32?

Btw you need to have the /app_home icon in XMB for the automatic execution of RELOADXMB

If you want reinstalled HEN you may have lost the icon.

If I run the function "Refresh my XML & XMB sets", the RELOAD-XMB is done automatically after the XML has been refreshed by this same function (it is a set).

I will have to investigate... the problem is that I cannot reproduce the error, which makes things more difficult to fix.

@aldostools What would you think about adding a feature to update ps2 config over the network form github when you press a button in the WMM features? With "no need to install ps2 config.pkg" any more.

The feature is possible, but I don't like that the download interface show up on XMB every time that I want to play a new PS2 game.
The interface would show even if there is not any CONFIG, which results annoying.

The PS2 CONFIG database is only needed by HEN users. They only need to download the package once, unless the user wants to have the latest updates all the time.

The CFW users get the updates when they install webMAN MOD or when the update through the XMB built-in update.

STLcardsWS updated webMAN MOD with a new update entry:

webMAN MOD 1.47.34

Fixed a critical bug that caused a crash in the plugin due an missing check for NULL
XMB waves now change on each boot if 1.qrc, 2.qrc, etc. exist in /dev_hdd0/tmp/lines
Boot sound now change on each boot if 1.ac3, 2.ac3, etc. exist in /dev_hdd0/tmp/coldboot
Wallpaper now change on each boot if 1.png, 2.png, etc. exist in /dev_hdd0/tmp/wallpaper
Fixed bug mounting some PSXISO stored in exFAT/NTFS.
New combo L2+L3+R3 sets XMB focus on webMAN Games (L2+L3+R2+R3 does also a...

@aldostools is there any hard coded limit on how many games can be displayed per category on xmb? currently having 316 PS1 games but XMB will only show up to 306 no matter what, tried all mem configs with an xml refresh in between and the best results are obtained with standard, even MAX PSX+ will list only up to 60. All the disc images are good and they even show on the web game's list but there is NO way to make the last 10 show on XML.

Alternatively is there an utility to generate the XMLs on PC? I think I might be able to manually edit the mygames.xml file manually and get away with it but in all honesty having to manually edit the table key on each object is a pain in the ass

EDIT: seems to be a memory limit problem, disabled psnpatch plugin, selected MAX memory profile, rebooted and refreshed, now all my games are showing up.

BTW If you set the option [MC] to 4-bg you will increase the memory usage limit to 3MB, which is more than the allowed by MAX profiles.

The webMAN MOD is not detecting the covers for PS1 and PS2 when placed in the multiMAN's covers_retro/psx directory (following ABCD_123.45_COV.PNG filename rules). It does detect the covers placed in the PSXISO/PS2ISO folder with the same filename as the ISO image. The "MM COVERS" setting is enabled in the preferences.

the isos need to have the ID in between brackets on it's filename for the mmcovers to work

It does not work regardless if the licence number is in the brackets or not.

On the other hand, webMAN MOD does correctly show the PS3 cover WITHOUT the licence number in the ISO filename ONLY on the HTML interface. On the XMB it shows the spinning refresh icon only. It does work correctly, I have accidentally deleted the cover image. So the webMAN does load the PS3 covers correctly even without the licence number in the filename.

How do I load retro games (ROMS)? I've put the retro game in the dev_hdd0 / ROMS folder then refreshed it on webman. but there is no ROMS folder on webman. how do i bring up the folder. so I can load retro games from Webman. I have also installed the pkg loader.

First you need to have installed RetroArch
https://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=152

Install the full edition or update via the built-in updater found in XMB if you don't have it already.

PKG / ROMS Launcher should be installed too.

Go to http: //localhost/setup.ps3 and enable the scanning for / ROMS.

Make sure that you have the app_home / PS3_GAME icon on XMB. If not edit your category_game.xml to include it.

The roms should be placed in specific folders. Eg / dev_hdd / ROMS / SNES

More details about the specific paths can be found here:

Refresh XML & reload XMB.

Refresh XML & reload XMB.

I have tried as you say. when I load my ROM, it automatically runs the roms in app_home / ps3_game, but returns right away to xmb. What is wrong?
The roms I tried was GBA and the roms format was .gba.

by the way I am using HEN 3.0.2 and the latest version from webman.

I tested again the feature and it launched the .gba stored in /dev_hdd0/ROMS/GBA

When the game is selected, it is mounted in /app_home and /dev_bdvd.
Check if the game launches through the bdvd disc icon or if the text in app_home is updated with the title of the game.

To investigate what is happening you could try mounting your ROM using the browser from the PC,
You can check what is mounted in /dev_bdvd and in /app_home/USRDIR
