webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

is there a special format that i have to make with fat32 and ntfs? like which partition needs to be first, file cluster size, etc?

Can someone help with getting the covers to work with only WebMan installed? Using 1.43.16 and my covers are the same ones I had with old versions of MultiMan, 24bit pngs with ps3_ added to the front. Where do I place them now?

NVM: * webMAN will also look for covers in mM format in its temp folder as /dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtmp/BLES12345.JPG

Sure I find it right after I post.

- Show preview of images on file manager
- Added ability to copy from ps3netsvr to hdd0
- Show game version on /cpursx.ps3
- Games icons in webGUI can be sorted using drag & drop (/index.ps3)
- /net games stored as multi-part ISOs are now listed on XMB, HTML and has a mount link on file manager
- When a .pkg file is mounted via fake iso, it auto-opens install files folder
- When a video file is mounted via fake iso, it auto-start the video (if auto-play is enabled)

ps3netsrv

Hi Aldo, thanks for the new wM Mod 1.43.17
About prepNTFS 1.12 changelog: "Added auto-creation of fake ISOs for /MOVIES, /VIDEO, /PKG, /Packages, /BDFILE folders"
How do you use it?

I put my .mp4 or .avi in /VIDEO or /MOVIES folder of my pendrive formatted in NTFS (it can be an external HDD formatted in NTFS, ext0, ext1, ext2 or ext3)
I also put my large .pkg files in /PKG or /Packages or /packages.

Then run prepNTFS 1.12 from XMB... wait until it returns to XMB.
Go to webMAN Games -> "Blu-ray™ and DVD" folder and select the icon for the fake iso. If auto-play is enabled and you have the "Show Video sub-folder" enabled in /setup.ps3, and it will auto-play the movie*

*The movie must be in a format supported natively by the PS3 to auto-play it. The file will be mounted no matter the format it has (e.g. .mkv, .wmv, .flv, etc.)

If it is a .pkg, the XMB will jump to ★ Install Package Files folder.

It's more simple to do than describe it ;)

Fake ISO seems to be an really interesting feature... but is it only for external drives or does it work for netx as well ?

Another question regarding ps3netsrv: Could u provide a version for raspberry pi or at least give some hints how to compile it myself ?

Regards
Rudi

Fake ISOs are only needed for external NTFS/EXT drives, due its access from XMB is limited to ISOs.

For /net drives you can mount the whole drive using SELECT+R2+:[]: for /net0 or SELECT+L2+:[]: for /net1 or mount the individual folders and they will appear in /dev_bdvd

Regarding your other question, I don't have idea how to compile the project for raspberry pi... The whole project for ps3netsvr (with my changes to support multi-part ISOs) is included in the rar.
It includes some old binaries for linux 32bit & 64bit, SynologyDS1512_INTEL, SynologyDS1512_ARM and Linkstations (arms_mips_ppc).

What's difference between full and lite version ?

The Lite version is the smallest build, therefore has the smallest memory footprint (192KB). It has the minimum features needed to mount the local games (it doesn't support ps3netsvr). The text is only in english.

The Full version is the largest build, therefore has the largest memory footprint (384KB). It has almost all the available features implemented in the plugin.

The Lite version from webMAN (official build by deank) has the smallest memory footprint (128KB).

aldostools Just reporting something. I had a bunch of kid dvd isos on an external hdd that worked with webman fine. I copied them to the internal hdd (there are 2 copies 1 on external 1 internal). After that none of the isos on either hdd show up in webman when the external hdd is plugged in. It just says the amount of them(isos) on there and no details whatsoever. Is this a bug. Is there a limit to how many it detects?
Another thing that i think is a rebug bug is that whenever i start up the system with a dvd in, the system crashes and i have to manually shut it dow by holding the button. Maybe you can let someone know.

Which Rebug version do you have the DVD issue with? In both CEX & DEX mode?

About your isos, maybe you should tweak the number of seconds given to your USB disk in wMM Setup? See if it helps. (EDIT: unless you have so many isos altogether that wMM cannot cope with... How many do you have on each disk? )

I was able to compile it for Pi.
I had to add "#include <cstring>" to "File.cpp" in order to compile without errors. Also makefile has some slight changes.
Source can be found at my "Pi Streaming Tutorial"... u can add it to your source if u like

I have a clean install of webman mod, my PS3 picks up the HDD (I can install packages from HDD), but Webman mod won't pick up ISOs made with genps3iso 2.5 at PS3ISO.
I can alternatively use a smaller test drive usb and format it to NTFS and it will pick up the ISOS from it.

Try increasing time settings step by step within webMAN settings (and dont forget to hit the save button)
Problem is that webMAN needs to scan HDD at boot time and if HDD is to slow webMAN will miss it.
Increasing time settings will increase boot time... so its a matter of finding the sweet spot for your HDD.
