PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

hi just wanna ask, how to refresh iso title and icons on webman games folder.
i have several different iso, but some games are showing the wrong icon and title.
for example i got iso of both final fantasy xiii and xiii-2, but both of them shows the same icon and same title on webman games folder.

also how to make ps2/ps1/psp/bd movie folder appear again on webman games folder?

There is an auto play setting, see here near the bottom

I think if it is enabled, you can also cancel the autoplay by holding circle after mounting the game.

Also check in the official system settings, it might be set there to auto boot games when a disc is inserted (or mounted).

Those only show up if there is content found, folders with 0 items do not show up.

Copy the image with the same name of the ISO but with .jpg or .png as extension.

If you include the title id as part of the name, the cover is searched in multiMAN's repository (and others) if they are available.

e.g.
ff13 [BLES88888].iso
ff13-2 [BLES99999].iso

@aldostools , I have my ps3 set up that way, with the title id in brackets. I seem to have them that way with ps2 games as well (no psx games on my system). however, will psx and ps2 games look in multiman's repository for box art if the title id is in brackets? also, must multiman be installed to do that? I have multiman installed, but it seems pointless since I use wmm. I'm also uncertain if multiman is the reason my first ps3 was banned.

I've seen a lot of videos using webman with a txt file to bypass the 4.88 update, but i tried many times and it does not work from my end.

I'm running 4.87.2 Evilnat CFW, how can i make it to work?

I'm placing the ps3-updatelist.txt in ther root of dev_hdd0 and rebooted many times but no effect.

it does not seem to work with CFW anymore.

@Coro, @aldostools ...

I have a few PS2 games that work relatively well with the "PS2Classics Placeholder" but I would like to test the "CONFIG" files that refer to them on them by starting them from WebMAN-Mod (v1.47.35). My games are in the "PS2ISO" folder of the internal HD.

Could you tell me what to do please ???

Thank you in advance for your answers and see you very soon.

Algol "le papy".

How to setup:
0- Install the package of PS2 Classics Launcher
1- Install the latest PS2 CONFIG database package from github or brewology
2- Update to the latest webMAN MOD 1.47.35 using the online updater available on the XMB menu
3- Copy your encrypted PS2ISO (*.BIN.ENC) to /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO
Or use multiMAN or Apollo Save Tool to convert the PS2ISO to .BIN.ENC
4- Rename your encrypted PS2 ISO files so the include the game id as part of the file name (e.g. My Game [SLES_123.45].BIN.ENC)
The game id must be enclosed between square brakets or parentheses
5- Run prepISO (or perform a scan for new content and refresh XMB).

How to play:
6- Select your PS2 game from XMB menu, hold X to auto-launch it.
If the game id is found in the database, webMAN MOD will use it automatically.

How to setup the CONFIG manually:
1-Use Apollo Save Tool to encrypt the CONFIG
(or use PS2Classics GUI to encrypt the CONFIG, enter * to select the CONFIG, press Encrypt button, confirm Yes, select No for LIMG, then save the file as My Game.CONFIG)
2-Rename the CONFIG file with same name of the ISO + .CONFIG (e.g. My Game.BIN.ENC.CONFIG or My Game.CONFIG)
3- Scan & launch the PS2 game

@aldostools

Can you confirm to me that the method you have just provided me is valid for a SuperSlim type console which cannot launch CFW (it is under the HFW-4.87.1/HEN-3.0.2) ???

Thanks in advance.

My games are already in the "ISO.BIN.ENC" format, that's okay. Is the procedure Aldo described to me valid for the console I described ???

Oui mon cher ami.

@aldostools :

I am deeply annoyed and surely annoying but I have an identical question for my Slim console (CECH-2504B) which is under the CFW Rebug-4.84.2 REX in CEX mode.
Is it the same protocol as above to be able to launch PS2 games through WebMAN-1.47.35 and take advantage of the "CONFIG" files for the games which require it ??? Is it easier ???

A big THANK YOU in advance.

The same procedure can be applied for CFW. However, CFW also supports PS2 ISO eliminating the need to encrypt the file.
Also the PS2 CONFIG database for CFW is already included in webMAN MOD, so there is not need to download the PS2 CONFIG database package.

0. Update to the latest webMAN MOD 1.47.35 (use the online updater on XMB)
1. Copy the PS2 ISO to /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO
2. Include the game id in the file name for better results. e.g. /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/My Game [SLES_123.45].ISO
3. Use prepISO or scan for new games then reload XMB.
4. Select your PS2 game and hold X to launch it.

Passe un bon WE.

OK, this is much easier than with a PS3 not compatible with CFW, it's great. Thank you my friend for your warm answers which give me great pleasure.

Have a good weekend.

@aldostools, does this feature also work if the ID inside the square brackets has a dash between the letters and numbers? (I ask b/c Irisman, from what I remember, does use a dash in it's default ISO naming scheme).
