PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

@aldostools.

Bonsoir mon ami.

In English via G-Trad :

Good evening my friend.

Could you tell me if the latest "Tools" that you just updated yesterday are compatible with the CFW "Rebug-4.84.2 REX" and the HFW-4.87.1/HEN-3.0.2 (WebMAN including).

Be indulgent with me because I am a little suspicious of updates from whatever sources they may be.

Have a wonderful Weekend with your sincere family and friends.

Algol "le papy".
Bonjour mon cher ami,

webMAN works on 4.82 and above.
Indeed the kernels haven't changed since 4.75

Ha, Ok pour webMAN mais qu'en est-il pour tes autres HomeBrews du genre "Boot Mamba, prepISO, etc ..." ?

Merci pour ta grande sympathie et passe un bon Week-End.

These are optional complements for webMAN MOD. They are updated regularly when they are needed.

For instance, Mamba was updated recently. It installs the payload mamba_488C.bin (but the same payload works in 4.84. 4.85, 4.86, 4.87, 4.88 CEX) since the offsets of the debug symbols in these kernels are identical.

Bon Week-End à toi aussi.

afaik, you can reenable syscalls with cobra 8.3 by going to system update. I remember reading that, but haven't tried it.
in what sense to system updates? there I only have standard options for updating the system from the internet and usb

edit. Ok i test it not clear entry in the new cobra options, you need to enter the update and press r2 + ^

aldo, can you add a reverse option to (Sign In to PSN now is blocked until CFW syscalls are disabled using :but r2: + :but tri: ) without restarting ps3?

Now webMAN blocks the Sign In to PSN if the syscalls are restored.

Try updating again to the lastest build from Github, Brewology or the online updater on XMB.

In 4.88 Evilnat, the CFW syscalls are restored through the Network > CFW Tools menu:

i guess "create syscalls" is a manual method...(i was wondering when i read the release post)...because it also says "allow restore syscalls" through system update 2 items below "create syscalls." i don't play online but i would always be worried of accidently restoring syscalls if i did. it's cool that there is both here.

@aldostools , I'm with @Coro . I don't play online at all, but it's nice to know there are a couple options: cfw tools or going to the system update section and pressing R2 and Triangle. I probably won't go online though. after being banned once, I'm kinda spooked to try going online. I'm afraid that whatever I did the first time, I'll do it again. even though I've self-banned myself, I don't want an actually banned console in case I ever tried to sell it. plus, who wants a banned console anyway, even with the ease of unbanning yourself? ;) I want my consoles in 100% working order.

Hi everyone!

That would be very helpful.

I have a PS3 Super Slim with 4.88 HFW and HEN on 3.0.3 and I don't play online but sometimes login on PSN to receive the rewards on Metal Gear Solid V (I'm playing recently)

I understand there are risks to banned and so on... but I cannot change games on Webman after do the command R2 + ^ because shows the message "unlock temporarily disabled" (in Portuguese, I don't know if in English is another message) then I have to reboot the PS3 and enable HEN again. I don't know if this is normal now but kinda boring. haha'

If there's a way to do that without rebooting the game, please let me know. :D

if you are using webman to disable syscalls, i believe that you can enter the "system update" menu and back out again to reenable syscalls without rebooting.

Steps for restoring the syscalls:
1. Press "Allow Restore Syscalls" in the CFW Tools to enable the feature.
2. Disable the syscalls using the preferred method.
3. Go to the System Update menu in the settings.
4. Go back to the CFW Tools and press "Create Syscalls" option.

EDITED: The correct method to restore the CFW syscalls are:

0. Make sure that PS3MAPI in Enabled in the shortcuts section of /setup.ps3 (save if needed)
1. Disable the syscalls using the preferred method (R2+△) <= The syscalls will be fake disabled
2. Go to the CFW Tools and press "Create Syscalls" option
3. Done.

or
0. Press "Allow Restore Syscalls" in the CFW Tools to enable the feature. (This is needed only once)
1. Disable the syscalls using the preferred method (R2+△)
2. Go to the System Update menu in the settings and exit of the update screen without do anything
3. Done.

NOTE: This method works with either CFW Syscalls fully removed (PS3MAPI disabled) or partially disabled (PS3MAPI enabled)
