webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

If you are using manual mode anyway, You can just set 43% also for PS2 Emulator. This ugly fix will resolve your problem.

When I use the Manual mode,i must also select the option Enable dynamic fan control? I must leave both options checked?

That's what kozarovv hinted.
If you are using dynamic control, as soon as you launch a PS2 game, dynamic fan control will stop & ps2 manual control mode begin at whatever temp you set for it.
You could uncheck dynamic fan control to use manual control mode all the time instead.
If you set general manual control temp & ps2 control temp at the same value, you would not see a difference when launching a PS2 game.
You should choose between dynamic & manual & check/uncheck the options accordingly.
It's up to you as long as you set the right temps & no matter what you CPU/RSX temps should be < 70 Celsius.
My CPU for example is always kept at 60 max meanwhile my RSX is at 55. To get this result I use dynamic fan control (60 degree & min fan at 37%) & PS2 setting at 40%.
However all consoles are different so you might need to tweak these figures to get the results you need.

Thanks for the help and Kozarov too.
That's my problem then.
I was using the Manual mode with dynamic fan control.

Good, you got it working.

Check the example of the settings I use on my latest ps3, I added it to my previous post.
Don't just copy them blindly but adapt them to your situation especially if you live in a warm place and/or your console's heats up more than mine... There is also the noise factor you may want to consider. I have another console with which I use higher settings & keep the CPU at 65 because it's too noisy at 60.

You get the idea... ☺️

The manual mode is fine & for Ps2 emulation there is no choice. But for movie playback & ps3 games I prefer the dynamic mode in most cases. Try both & decide for yourself!

Remember that if you unload webMAN-MOD you will lose the dynamic fan control.
If you go online for example that's exactly what will happen because wMM must be unloaded to avoid ban risk.

Do you think 64 ° in the CPU and 68 ° in the RSX are proper temperatures after two hours of play?
I wanted to put 50% of the fan, but I usually play at night and the noise is very loud,i dont like.
Sorry not write more details, but my English is not so good

As long the CPU remains under 70 Celsius there is no problem. .
However 50% seems a little high to get 65 degrees. Unless you are in a hot country...
Is your fan clean?

When i not use the webMAN,
my PS3 reaches 78 °.
I have my PS3 just six months,
I have not done an internal cleaning until now.
When I use the webMAN, the temperature drops 10 degrees,
but I still think little, because it is very close to the 70 ° .
I think need to change the folder of PS3.
The place I live is very hot, average 34 ° per day is hell,
but there are many girls of short clothes because of the heat,
this is interesting :p

Brazil? I lived in Alagoas for 4 years & I remember my PS3 hating it.

If you don't use webMAN-MOD, your PS3 will definitely heat up & reach temperatures over 70-75 Celsius. With that kind of weather things get even worse.

The only other option is to use a fan control utility like Orion's or Tempmon. They work fine but webMAN-MOD is more practical.

Small world, half of my family lives near Alagoas, but precisely Pernambuco.
I live in São Paulo,
but the hottest place is the Rio de Janeiro, when I go there I suffer,
sometimes in Rio the temperature arrives the 40 °
I used the Orion tool,
but the fan never started with the PS3,
every time I connected the PS3 I had to set again
Now the fan control of Orion is outdated to me because I'm in the 4.78 version
I intend to experiment soon o Tempmon

Before using wMM dynamic control I remember using an autoboot.iso that wMM starts at boot with the fan utility in it. It would start automatically & was quite useful. It had to be updated with every cfw as usual but it worked well.

You can find the updated source code (of IRISMAN and webMAN MOD) at Joonie's GitHub.
Aldo,
the webMAN MOD Source on Joonie s github, seems to not have the support for CFW 4.80.
I have compiled the pkg and tried on FERROX Cobra 4.80. Control Fan doesen't work. It mean no support for 4.80?
If so, we wait an official update from you :)
